Postering - Print and put up flyers for the event at gay places
Set-up - Set the stage. Put up canopies and tables and help get everything ready the morning of the event
Check-in - Check-in participants before and during the event. Before the event, give participants their swag bag and take their polaroid picture. During the event, make sure everyone is checked in for the their heat and give them their jerseys.
Raffle and Merch - Sell tickets for the opportunity drawing and Switch and Queer Surf merchandise
Heat Time Keeper - Keep everything on track. Time the heats in the MC booth, and use flags to alert the surfers of the beginning and end of their heats.
Water Watch- Keep the contest area free of non-participants. Use megaphones to clear the lineup from the beach and be ready to go into the ocean if needed.
Food Pick Up- Pick up breakfast pastries at Rosalind Bakery in Pacifica ~ 7:30am, &/or lunch @ 11am at Little Chihuahua in SF, and bring to the beach
Participant Lunch - Set up, serve and tidy lunch for participants and volunteers
Grill Daddy - BBQ dogs or burgers for all attendees
Art Table- Manage the art table and make art with attendees. Help manage a big message board and make bracelettes with recycled wetsuits.
Wellness- Post up at the wellness tent and be the point person for wellness needs. First Aid experience preffered.
Tear down - Help break down tents, tables and load up cars at the end of the day. But while dancing! Make it fun:)
Videographers and Photographers - Land and water photographers needed to document all the waves ridden and capture the culture of the day. Make a google folder with photos to share with participants. Make edits for social media. Interview surfers in the press booth.
