    As we approach the start of our new membership year, we’re doing things a little differently. In order to provide the best possible support for your club, we’re asking all clubs to declare their intended services for the upcoming year, as well as share how their club is set up. With this information, we’ll be able to determine the appropriate affiliation tier for your club. Once your tier has been confirmed, you’ll receive full details about the requirements for that tier, including what needs to be uploaded to the portal for your club to be active as an IGA club. Clubs that meet all compliance requirements will earn the Verified Safe badge on their profile and will be marked as live.

  • New Club Affiliation Tiers – Launching with IGA


    As part of our continued growth and commitment to better serve our members, we are introducing a new tiered affiliation structure within the Independent Gymnastics Association. These tiers are designed to reflect the unique needs and focuses of each club, ensuring you receive the appropriate level of support, resources, and access based on your club's structure and activity.

    1. Summer Camps and Parties Affiliation
    This tier is specifically for organisations that operate only during seasonal events, such as summer camps, holiday clubs, or birthday parties. It offers public liability and insurance tailored for short-term or non-term-time activities.

    2. Access Only Affiliation
    Designed for clubs or individuals participating solely in IGA Coaching Courses. This tier allows access to our educational platform and certification pathways only.

    3. UGC – University Gymnastics Affiliation
    Exclusively for universities across the UK and Ireland, this tier provides affiliation for the duration of the university gymnastics season. It includes access to UGC events, competition resources, and student-specific support under the umbrella of IGA.

    4. Unity Affiliation
    This tier is for clubs engaged exclusively in recreational gymnastics or Gymnastics for All (GFA) programmes. Clubs in this category focus on providing inclusive gymnastics and performance opportunities for all ages and abilities. Unity Affiliation strictly involves GFA Competitions, Our Badge Schemes, and GFA Courses.

    5. Legacy Affiliation
    For clubs offering a full range of programmes, this tier covers both GFA (recreational) and competitive disciplines. Legacy clubs register both their recreational gymnasts and their competitive squads, benefiting from the widest access to IGA competitions, events, and support services.

  • As all IGA affilited clubs are expected to insure all members have IGA insurance to be affiliated to IGA, Please could you kindly provide member numbers for the upcoming year.

  • Compliance Preparation:

    Maintaining compliance is a vital part of being an IGA affiliated club. It ensures that your club is operating safely, ethically, and in line with national standards. Compliance covers key areas such as safeguarding, DBS checks, appropriate training for staff and volunteers, and having up-to-date policies and procedures in place. Not only does this protect your members and your club, but it also reinforces the trust and credibility of the wider gymnastics community. Clubs that meet all compliance requirements will be awarded the Verified Safe badge, helping parents and members recognise your commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment.

  • Thank you for submitting your intention to affiliate with IGA.

    Here’s what to expect next:

    1. Confirmation Email

    You will receive an automatic confirmation that we’ve received your submission.


    2. Initial Review

    Our team will review your submission to ensure it aligns with the appropriate affiliation tier based on your club’s structure and activities.


    3. Compliance Check

    We will verify that all coaches listed on your JustGo profile have the required credentials, including:

    1. A valid DBS check
    2. An up-to-date safeguarding certificate


    Tier Confirmation

    Once your club has met the compliance requirements, we will:

    1. Confirm your approved affiliation tier

    Apply the tier directly to your JustGo profile, and apply the safe club badge to your logo.


    2. Ensure you have access to member benefits
    Once your affiliation is confirmed, your club will have access to the full range of benefits associated with your selected tier, including events, resources, and community support.

  • By submitting this affiliation, I confirm that:

    1. All information provided is true, complete, and accurate to the best of my knowledge, including the declared number of gymnasts, coaches, and staff participating under our club’s name.


    2. The members listed are actively participating in gymnastics activities delivered under the affiliated gymnastics club named in this application.


    3. Our club is not a newly created or duplicate entity intended to bypass membership, insurance, or affiliation requirements.


    We understand that any false or misleading information may result in:

    1. Termination of affiliation,
    2. Voided insurance coverage,
    3. Restriction from accessing IGA services, events, or competitions.


    We accept responsibility for ensuring all participating members are compliant with IGA membership policies, including required safeguarding, qualifications, and DBS checks for coaches.


    By signing and submitting this declaration, I acknowledge that I am an authorised representative of the club and understand the responsibilities and expectations outlined above.
