The Norwood Park Scholars Program was created by the Norwood Chamber Scholarship Committee to honor the hard-working children and future leaders of our community.
The Norwood Park Chamber, Sprout Pediatric Dentistry and Lori Shaw- State Farm Agent are proud to offer three one time scholarships to Norwood Park Residents.
The applications will be accepted through June 20th.
The goal of this scholarship is to support the educational/career plans of a graduating elementary student or high school senior who has demonstrated a commitment to personal integrity, ethics, and community service.
1) Eligibility Details:
Applicants must reside and be a permanent resident of Norwood Park at the time of application.
Residency:Norwood Park, Oriole Park, Big Oaks & Union Ridge (limitations: from Higgins Ave to Nagle Ave to Gunnison St.) MUST be a Chicago Resident. Please email us at info@norwoodpark.org if you have questions about whether you qualify.
Applicants must show (upload) proof of residency and school transcripts.
Applicants must be graduating in 2025 and be either in 8th grade elementary school or a high school senior.
Applicants must be enrolling in a high school, community college, university/college, or postsecondary (technical or trade) degreed program for the first term following graduation.
Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20. Only applications completed in entirety will be considered.
Must have copies of school info including current GPA, Class Rank, Test Scores.
Applicants may share awards, volunteerism, employment and recommendation letters.
Personal Reference forms from two non-family members (contact form below, upload any written documents)
Awarded funds may be used to assist with student expenses such as tuition, fees, books or room and board. Funds will be made payable directly to school of winner’s choice.
Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce Dollars for Scholars Program Awards
Two scholarships will be awarded.
high School Senior: $1,500
8th Grader: $500
2. Scholarships will be awarded on June 26th during the Chamber's Music in the Park and made payable any time after June 15, 2024. Upon receipt of definite proof of enrollment.
3. A committee comprised of officers and directors of the Norwood Park Chamber
Scholarship Committee reviews and evaluates all applications submitted.
4. A copy of the letter from the high school, college, university, or trade school
indicating the applicant’s acceptance into a program of study in the Fall of 2025 must be provided prior to disbursement of funds.
