End of the Year Survey

Dear CVES Community,

This survey aims to help Team CV (PTO and Foundation) to better plan and support our community. This survey is anonymous and your honest and open feedback is valuable to helping us ensure our work / events / programs are effective, engaging, inclusive and fun.

Team CV intends to conduct an End of Year survey annually to continue this feedback / improvement process.

CANYON VIEW PTO

Canyon View PTO strives to positively impact the lives of children and families through fun family events, like the Pancake Breakfast, Ice Cream Social, & Coyote Round-Up, as well as provide educationally enriching programs like Red Ribbon Week and the Science Fair.

This year's PTO Membership cost was $30 and includes 2 discount cards to local businessess. Membership is voluntary.

Team CV (PTO) meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the month at 6:30PM in person and via zoom. Did you attend any of the PTO meetings this year? Did the scheduled day/time prevent you from attending?

CANYON VIEW ELEMENTARY FOUNDATION

THe mission on the CV Foundation is to fundraise for CVES to provide our students with the best education possible. The money fundraised helps support special programs for our CV Students, as well as many other school needs not met by the current PUSD budget.

Currently the CV Foundation fully pays for Art, Music, PE, Science programs. The Foundation also pays for half of the school's IMPACT program. We are constantly evaluating the benefits that the programs we support have for our CV students. As we move forward, we would like your opinion on our current programs.

*For those unsure what the IMPACT program is, IMPACT is small group intervention to support our Coyotes! IMPACT learners are selected by the teacher based on areas of strength and areas of growth. It is primarily reading focused, however we also use IMPACT time to ensure the needs of our accelerated learners are met by lower class size and allowing our students to push their thinking, collaboration and creativity!

The CV Foundation also pays for many other campus enhancements. Just a few are grants for teachers to enhance their class, teacher continuing education opportunities, playground supplies and recess activities, software and subscriptions for students, technology for classrooms, and the Innovation Lab. What other campus enhancements do you think the Foundation should consider funding?

FUNDRAISERS: The CV Foundation relies on donations from CV Families to make these special programs and campus enhancements available. Our top three main fundraisers are Red Envelope Week, Jog-A-Thon, and the Silent Auction. Please provide any feedback regarding our current fundraising efforts.
