Requirements for boarding:
* All dogs must have current immunizations against Rabies, DAPP, Lepto and Bordetella. They must also have a current Exam with us or your primary veterinarian and be free of parasites (fleas, ticks, tapeworms, etc.)
* All cats must have current immunizations against Rabies and FVRCP. They must also be free of parasites (fleas, ticks, tapeworms, etc.)
* All clients are required to read and sign the Boarding Admission Form and the Owner Release.
* Animals will be admitted and discharged ONLY during the stated times below:
Monday – Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Saturday – Sunday 2:00pm to 4:30pm
Pets taking medications MUST be dropped off Monday-Friday.
* Any animal that requires emergency or immediate veterinary attention will receive it at our discretion during business hours. If a pet has a life-threatening medical emergency your pet will need to be transported to a 24/7 Veterinary Emergency Center by the local emergency contact provided. After hours care is not available at Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital.
* A local emergency contact must be listed and available to pick up your pet if an emergency arises. They will also need to be authorized to make medical decisions on your behalf if we are unable to contact you.
* All medications must be in the original packaging with the instruction label provided.
* Animals requiring medication or treatment will be charged appropriate fees.
* Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital & Pet Lodge cannot guarantee the health of your pet(s) and will not be held responsible for conditions that are sometimes unavoidable in boarding kennel, such as but not limited to: weight loss, upper respiratory infections, self-harm or diarrhea.
* If I neglect to pick up my pet(s) within 10 days of the checkout date provided, Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital may assume my pet(s) has been abandoned and is hereby authorized to take responsibility for my pet(s) including adoption and/or other options considered necessary (including euthanasia).
* I understand that Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital does not provide 24-hour supervision.
* If your pet develops diarrhea while staying with us, we will administer a probiotic at your expense.
* Your pets safety and comfort is our #1 priortiy. If your pet requires a bath; a bath will be provided at the owners expense. We only bathe pets if necessary for their health and comfort.
*Be aware that in the exteremy unlikely event that your pet passes away while staying with us, they will be held in our cold storage facility.
* Be aware that your pet’s diet may have varied while away from home. They may have barked at other animals; or the temperatures or humidity may have been slightly different from your home. This can create problems such as sore throats, tonsillitis or diarrhea. We seek to prevent such problems but you may understand that these problems do develop. Owners will be charged appropriate fees for all treatment/ medication needed for reasons that are not directly under our control.
