Position Summary:
Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Specialist to oversee and manage the organization's IT infrastructure and services. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and scalability of IT systems that support both staff and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software, hardware, licensing, and support solutions that align with the fraternity's operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Software & Systems Management
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the fraternity’s software systems and platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Oversee software licensing, renewals, and compliance, including domain registrations, email platforms, and productivity suites.
- Provide technical support and IT solutions to staff, including onboarding and offboarding of user accounts and devices.
Hardware & Device Management
- Manage office IT hardware, including computers, servers, printers, network devices, and conferencing systems.
- Handle inventory management, ordering, setup, and lifecycle management of all hardware devices.
- Ensure timely maintenance, updates, and replacements of hardware components.
IT Support & Solutions for Staff
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests, troubleshooting issues efficiently.
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, guides, and best practices for staff use.
- Implement and support secure remote work solutions, ensuring staff can work effectively from various locations.
IT Security & Compliance
- Monitor and enforce IT security protocols, including email security, data backup, and
endpoint protection.
- Stay current on industry trends, security threats, and compliance requirements, and recommend appropriate solutions.
Vendor & Licensing Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants.
- Ensure timely renewals of domains, SSL certificates, software licenses, and
subscriptions.
General Office IT Management
- Oversee IT infrastructure within the headquarters office, ensuring all technology
systems function optimally.
- Assist in planning and budgeting for IT needs and projects.
Special Projects:
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, software licensing, domain management, and web administration.
- Experience with Office 365, Google Workspace, or similar productivity suites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
- Experience supporting hybrid and remote teams.
- Primarily office-based with opportunities for remote support.
- Occasional after-hours support for urgent system issues or updates.
- Some travel may be required for fraternity events or conferences.
- Membership in Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity preferred but not required.
