Star for a Night is not your average talent show. It’s a full-blown tribute spectacular where everyday people become music legends for one unforgettable night. Whether you’re channeling Cher, Elvis, Tina, Dolly, Freddie, Gaga or your favourite one-hit wonder, this is your chance to step into the spotlight and bring the house down.

We’re looking for entertaining acts of all kinds - live singing, lip sync battles, iconic impersonations, outrageous costumes, comedy performances and show-stopping tributes. The more committed, campy and crowd-pleasing, the better.

Gather your friends, pick your superstar alter ego, and prepare for a night of laughter, nostalgia and glorious entertainment, all while raising money to support our Charity fundraiser for the Central West Women's Health Centre.

Things to know before making your submission - The boring terms and conditions bit :)
- Participants must be 18 by the 27th June 2026.
- Acts must not exceed 4 minutes in length.
- All material (music, language, costume, etc.) must be suitable for a public audience.
- No content will be allowed that ridicules, mocks, or is mean-spirited, hurtful, or harmful toward any individual or group. This includes, but is not limited to, content that is discriminatory, offensive, or likely to cause discomfort to others.
- Provision of all props, costumes, instruments, backing etc is the responsibility of the entrants.
- Organisers reserve the right to reject or remove acts at any stage if they are deemed inappropriate, offensive, or unsafe.
- The use of live animals, open flames, or dangerous props is strictly prohibited.
- Backing tracks must be of high audio quality (minimum 192kbps MP3 or equivalent) and submitted in advance. Tracks must be free from distortion, background noise, or poor mixing.

- An non-refundable entry fee of $25 is payable on submission of this form. This can be paid by card payment, or via bank transfer.
- Due to time constrictions, we will be accepting 20 submissions only. Submissions will be accepted in the order in which they are received. The order of performances on the night will be at the discretion of the organisers.
- Individuals can take part in only one submitted act, either as individuals or as part of a group.
- Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, as judged by official judges. First prize will be $150. Second Prize will be $100, third prize $50.

Star for a Night – Terms and Conditions of Entry

By submitting an act for consideration in Star for a Night, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility
- The event is open to individuals or groups aged 18 and over only.
- All performers must be available to rehearsse and perform on Saturday, 27th June 2026.
- Acts must be appropriate for a general audience and align with the event's light-hearted, inclusive spirit.
2. Act Submission
- Acts must be submitted by 5:00pm on Monday 22nd June 2026 via this form.
- Submissions must include a brief description of the act, full names of participants, and any technical or staging requirements (e.g., music tracks, microphones, props).
3. Entry Fee
- A non-refundable entry fee of $25.00 per act is required upon submission.
4. Performance Guidelines

5. Rehearsals and Soundcheck
- A technical rehearsal or soundcheck will be scheduled prior to the event.
- Participants will be notified in advance of timing and venue access.
- Participants must follow all directions from event staff and technical crew.
6. Judging and Prizes
- This is a friendly competition judged on entertainment value, originality, and audience engagement.
- Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, as judged by official judges based on who they deem to be the "most entertaining" on the night. First prize will be $150. Second Prize will be $100, third prize $50.
7. Permissions and Media
- By entering, participants consent to being photographed and/or recorded during the event. Media may be used for promotional purposes related to Star for a Night and the benefiting charity.
- Personal information will be handled in accordance with all applicable privacy legislation and used solely for event-related communication.
8. Health and Safety
- All participants take part at their own risk. The event will comply with venue health and safety regulations.
- Participants must behave responsibly and follow all instructions from organisers and venue staff.
9. Cancellations and Changes
- Organisers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
- In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded. If postponed, entries will carry over to the rescheduled date unless otherwise agreed.
