Paint-Outs are open to all OPM members and their guests. Participants are not required to register, but it's helpful so we can communicate any last minute changes to locations or weather cancellations. Participants may arrive any time during the duration of the paint-out, but keep in mind that painters will migrate to painting locations once the paint-out begins.

Berton Box Painting Activity – Volunteers Needed
Three volunteers are needed to supervise one of three Berton Box public painting pochades that OPM agreed to bring for visitors to try outdoor painting. Volunteers may paint alongside the boxes while engaging with visitors, answering questions, and keeping supplies replenished. OPM stocks Berton Boxes with 8x10 canvases, watermedia paints, brushes, water cups, and paper towels. Each volunteer receives a $50 honorarium for their commitment to help with this activity. Honorariums are offered on a first come, first served basis.

- Historic buildings and grounds of Henry H. Sibley, Minnesota's first governor
- Located on south bank of Minnesota River
- Military staging area during U.S.–Dakota war of 1862
- Oldest buildings still standing in Minnesota
- Museum, gift shop, and handicap accessible trails and bathrooms
Time constraints:
Setup is from 12-12:30pm. Painting is from 12:30-3:30pm. A pop-up display may be held between 3-4pm. The park will close at 4:00pm.
