AGC NYS Diesel Technology Scholarship Program 2026

The AGC NYS, LLC. is a nonprofit association of General Contractors, Construction Managers, Subcontractors and other construction-industry affiliated firms engaged in building, highway, heavy, industrial, municipal and utility contracting. We are one of the largest AGC chapters in the nation, and leading statewide construction association in New York.

Since our inception we have been instrumental in bringing about economic and infrastructure development in New York through our involvement in legislative affairs, specifications reviews, labor negotiations, education, highway budgeting and appropriations and many other subjects of importance to AGC members statewide. We have fostered cooperation between the contracting community and the public works administrations of the State, County and Town governments.

The AGC NYS, LLC. Scholarship program is funded by our members through our annual Anthony S. Santaro AGC Scholarship Golf Classic; by individual member donations and through endowments.

You have the ultimate responsibility to ensure that the application, all evaluation forms and transcripts are received by the AGC NYS, LLC, 10 Airline Drive Suite 203, Albany, NY 12205 no later than May 1, 2026.
Scholarship Rules and Regulations
A. Eligible students are defined as those who are:
1. In their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of a two or four-year program.
2. Seriously intent upon a career in the construction equipment industry.
3. Applicant MUST pursue an associates or bachelors degree in diesel technology.
4. Enrolled full time and carrying 12 undergraduate credit hours.
5. A U.S. citizen or documented permanent resident of the United States.
6. A New York resident. However, applicants can be pursuing their degree at a college or university outside of New York State.

B. A completed application consists of:
1. Fully completed online application.
2. Three evaluation forms: any combination of college faculty or college academic advisors, employers or adults not related to the applicant and preferably in the industry.
3. Official transcript of all college grades received to date. Transcripts downloaded off the web will not be considered official. Students with a GPA below 2.5 will not be considered. (It is expected that the last grades of most applicants will be Fall 2025)

C. Awards
1. Scholarships will be in the amount of $2500 per student per year. All scholarships are contingent upon the student maintaining a GPA of 2.50 and pursuing a major in diesel technology as a fulltime student.
2. Applications will be reviewed and winners determined by the Selection Committee of the AGC Scholarship & Student Chapters Committee, which will consider applicants’ interest in the construction industry, grades, extracurricular activities, employment experience and adult evaluations.
3. Finalists will be notified in June 2026.
4. One half of the scholarship will be sent to the student in August. The other half will be awarded in December.
5. Scholarship recipients will be required to submit Spring 2026 semester grades by October 1, 2027. Failure to do so could result in disqualification from the program and repayment of the scholarship money.
