First Friday Non Profit Booth Form

Please read the entirety of the guidelines below, as our protocol has changed in 2025.

First Friday, an entity of Carbondale Arts, is a family-friendly community celebration that takes place monthly in the heart of Carbondale's Creative District.

Community organizations and nonprofits are invited to be considered to host a booth at First Friday. You may not host a booth without an approval from Carbondale Arts. Please consider our guidelines when requesting a booth:
- Food is only permitted if exempt from licensing per Garfield County Public Health Regulations (page 9).
- No alcohol on Main Street per town ordinance.
- Tent weights are mandatory. If you do not have tent weights you will be asked to take down your tent.
- No political action booths or solicitation. We hope this policy, similar to the one that we have at the Carbondale Mountain Fair, prioritizes community building at First Friday. Organizations soliciting signatures for petitions, or demonstrating for a specific political action or cause are asked to find alternative time, place and manner for raising awareness and support.
- There is a $75 booth fee that helps Carbondale Arts cover the costs of administration, coordination, permitting, and enforcement of First Friday. If you are unable to pay this cost please reach out to emily@carbondalearts.com request that your fee be waived.
- Booths will be assigned a location upon acceptance.
- In addition to providing information about your nonprofit, please consider offering a free, engaging activity for the community at your booth. Please reach out if you need ideas or inspiration - we have lots!
Carbondale Arts event staff will be in touch regarding booth approval, location and protocols. Requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to desired First Friday for consideration. For any additional questions, please reach out to emily@carbondalearts.com.

First Friday Food Truck Form

First Friday, an entity of Carbondale Arts, is a family-friendly community celebration that takes place monthly in the heart of Carbondale's Creative District. Restaurants are often jam-packed on First Fridays, and we'd love to offer the community more dining options, as well as celebrate the local up-and-coming culinary creativity!

In 2025, Carbondale Arts is offering 2 to 3 spaces within the First Friday perimeter for registered food trucks. Food trucks must fill out this application to be considered and vending spaces will be awarded based on completeness of application, relevance to the events, and to ensure a diversity of offerings and opportunity throughout the year. Please consider our guidelines when responding to this interest form:
- Food trucks must have their own power/ water source. Depending on the First Friday we may be able to offer electricity, but it would significantly limit where we can place your setup and is not guaranteed.
- Food trucks must have the proper food vendor licensing per Garfield County Public Health regulations.
- There is a food truck fee based on a sliding scale of estimated event size (ranging from $75 to $150). This fee helps Carbondale Arts cover the costs of administration, coordination, permitting, and enforcement of First Friday.
- Food trucks should anticipate being fully set up by 5pm and closing down around 9pm.
- Filling out this form does not guarantee your spot at a First Friday. We will review the responses and assign dates to spread out the First Friday opportunity among the most amount of food trucks.

First Friday Busker Form

Show off your talent and help energize downtown Carbondale by performing at First Fridays. We're looking for local musicians and bands to fill the streets with music and good vibes!

This is true street busking... raw, real, and right on Main Street. Musicians are fully responsible for bringing and setting up their own instruments, gear, and equipment. There’s no stage or backline provided, and electricity is very limited.

Thanks to the support of our amazing sponsors, Carbondale Arts is able to provide a small stipend to each act as a token of appreciation for sharing your music with the community.
