We ask that you be upfront, honest and transparent in regards to your time commitment because the population that you are serving is unique. While they may be chronically categorized as an “adult” in society, developmentally they are functioning likely between the ages of 13 - 15 years old. This is due to the trauma they’ve endured and life that has been handed to them. We ask for a stable, long term volunteer commitment because these youth are used to adults coming in and out of their lives, not being reliable and not having anyone who has shown up for them. By committing to a minimum of a 1-year servanthood, you are able to establish a strong relationship, instill trust, and exhibit what they not only long for but deserve to have in their lives.
