Inspection Services Agreement
This Inspection Services Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Advanced Weldtec, Inc. (“Consultant”) and the above listed company name(“Client”), effective as of the date of signature below, for the provision of inspection services, including technical reporting, and document preparation.
1. Compensation Terms & Conditions
A. Hourly Rates
Client agrees to compensate Consultant at the following hourly rates:
- Regular Time: $150/hour
- Overtime (1.5x): $225/hour
- Double Time (2x): $300/hour
B. Travel Rates (from ZIP Code 92530)
Client agrees to compensate Consultant at the following Travel rates:
Within 20 miles: $100 round trip
- 21–30 miles: $250 round trip
- 31–80 miles: $400 round trip
- 81–120 miles: $600 round trip
- Over 121 miles: Quoted upon request
C. Additional Charges
- Overtime time rates apply after 8 hours (unless fixed-price)
- Dye Penetrant Testing Kit: $250
- For long-distance travel, delays beyond Consultant’s control (e.g., weather) will incur additional hotel and per diem charges
D. Payment & Scheduling
i. Work is scheduled upon receipt of payment. For onsite work, Payment is required at least five (10) business days prior to the tentative scheduled date.
ii. Minimum Onsite Charges
- 0–20 miles: $1,300
- 21–30 miles: $1,450
- 31–80 miles: $1,600
- 81–120 miles: $1,800
- Over 121 miles: Quoted upon request
- Per Diem (for work over 121 miles): $250/day
- Hotel, transportation, and related travel costs will be quoted separately.
iii. Minimum Charge at Consultant’s Facility
- Four (4) hour minimum retainer or full prepayment required
- Fixed-price quotes must be paid in full prior to scheduling
Iv. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- A $500 non-refundable fee applies for any cancellation or rescheduling work.
2. Document Preparation Services
A. Procedure Qualification Record (PQR)
- Estimated Range: $1,200–$2,500 (based on lab work required)
- Requires written client approval of quote before scheduling
- Full prepayment required
- Additional charges may apply due to:
- Welder performance
- Client-caused delays
- Outsourced lab work
- Scope changes
B. Welding Procedure Specification (WPS)
- First WPS: $375
- Each additional similar WPS: $250
- Expedited Fee: $350
- Includes up to 2 revisions
C. Welder Performance Qualification Record (WPQR)
- $175 per WPQR (following testing at Client’s location)
D. Inspection Report
- $375 per inspection report
E. Payment Terms for Document Work
All document-related services must be prepaid in full
- Consultant will not release documents (PQRs, WPSs, WPQRs, reports) until full payment is received
F. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- A $500 non-refundable fee applies for any cancellation or rescheduling work.
3. Independent Contractor
Consultant is an independent contractor and not an employee of the Client. Consultant is responsible for all applicable taxes and withholdings and shall not receive any employee benefits.
4. Indemnification
Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Consultant from any liability, claims, or legal expenses arising from Consultant’s good faith performance under this Agreement, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
5. Confidentiality
Consultant agrees to treat all materials provided by the Client as confidential and will not disclose such materials unless required by law or with the Client’s written consent.
6. Term & Termination
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated in writing by either party. Either party may terminate with fifteen (15) days’ written notice. Consultant shall be paid for all services rendered and expenses incurred through the termination date.
7. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in Riverside County, California.
8. Entire Agreement
This Agreement contains the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements. Any amendments must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
