    Welcome Royal Family Volunteers!

    Thank you for offering to invest a few hours of your valuable time to help make Royal Family Kids Camp Thousand Oaks a success! It a takes tremendous number of helping hands and open hearts to successfully host 35 children at a week-long overnight camp— and we are so grateful for your willingness to serve alongside us in this opportunity!

    This application is for those seeking volunteer opportunities at camp as a 1-DAY "GUEST" VOLUNTEER (Camper Registration, Everyone's Birthday Party, Royal Banquet, Tea Party, Welcome Home Banquet, etc.)

    Applicants must be 18 years of age by Aug. 3, 2025. Applicants ages 16-17 will be considered. If you are a minor (ages 16-17), your parent or guardian will need to be available to read and sign the parental acknowledgement at the bottom of the application. All information is held strictly confidential. This form must be completely filled out. The information is vital to your acceptance and potential placement as a volunteer. This application is for a voluntary service position. It is NOT an application for employment, therefore, neither the application nor the position applied for are governed by employment law.

    Royal Family Kids Camp (RFKC) Thousand Oaks, sponsored by Atmosphere Church, is a free one-week resident summer camp in our local mountains for children in foster care that cultivates joy, resilience, hope and positive memories. Our campers, ages 7-11, with a history of abuse or neglect, benefit from a safe and fun camp environment designed just for them. All of our activities are woven through the modality of Trust-Based Relational Intervention to ensure our campers experience loving connections & life-giving experiences through safe relationships. Our camp team seeks individuals who are teachable, considerate, reliable, team-oriented and who enjoy children! We’re looking for 60 volunteers to fill a variety of roles.

    Our desire is to treat each camper like royalty, with volunteer staff that feels like family!Because RFKC's #1 priority is safety for our vulnerable campers, it is essential that ALL volunteers having direct contact with campers fulfill all necessary 1 Day "Guest" Volunteer requirements:+ Application+ Brief touch point with one of our team Members. 

    We are looking to fill the following 1 DAY GUEST VOLUNTEER ROLES:

    Camper Check In Day: Aug 4th (Atmosphere) - 5 spots

    Girls' Tea Party: Aug 5th - 5 spots

    Boy's Water Party: Aug 5th - 5 spots

    Everyone's Birthday Party: Aug 6th - 5 spots

    Spa Party: Aug 8th - 5 spots

    Royal Banquet: Aug 7th - 5 spots

    Share-What-You-Love Workshop Leader (Choose a morning Aug 5-8 ) examples: painting workshop, karate, pottery, music, baking projects, dance, activities, etc.

    Welcome Home Volunteer Lunch Aug 8th (Atmosphere) -5 spots

    To apply as a FULL-TIME CAMP VOLUNTEER: APPLY HERE (those spending the entire week at camp)

    To serve as a PRE-CAMP "AT HOME" VOLUNTEER, you are not required to have complete an application, background check or training. Please contact RFKCThousandOaks@gmail.com for at home opportunities.

    We have many part time opportunities to serve at camp! On occasian, we may need some volunteers to serve on multiple days, so please select all opportunities that interest you.

  • TRAUMA-INFORMED POLICYThank you for volunteering to help with Royal Family KIDS. This is a great opportunity to help foster children in our community.Our full-time volunteers have gone through extensive training and background checks for the safety of the children, and to make sure they can adequately handle the needs of the children all week at camp. Additionally, being a faith-based organization, we ask that our full-time volunteers are active in their Christian faith. As a part-time volunteer, we want you to know there are a few essential things that you need to be aware of, and that there are some limitations in how you participate because of your part-time status.Our goal is for the children to be safe and have a life-changing experience at camp. Here are some things you need to know:
