    • Student Group Licensing Policies
    • If your Student Group would like to create merchandise that uses the university brand or would be distributed in connection with the UC brand (selling items through a university social media account) there are a few steps you need to take:

      1. Be a Registered Student Organization. As of 9/1/2023, a law was created that impacts the way students can access and interact with the brand of public Ohio institutions. For more information, please reach out to the Center for Student Involvement (CSI).
      2. Complete the University Name, Brand, & Logos forms through the Center for Student Involvement (see CSI forms).
      3. Figure out the goals of the item(s) and the payment method. There are specific pathways RSOs are able to request use of brand on merchandise that are decided by payment method and use.

    • Sponsorships
    • Are you interested in partnering with an outside company or organization? Before any sponsorship activities take place between an outside company or organization and the University, approval must be granted.

Getting sponsorship for your student organization or campus event can be a great way to support your initiatives, but it’s important to follow UC’s policies to protect the university’s brand and avoid delays or denied approvals.

      1. You must have approval to use UC logos or names
      2. You must submit a sponsorship request form
      3. Use university licensed vendors for any merchandise
      4. When in doubt don't hesitate to ask for help
