Thank you for your interest in joining the Pain Research Forum (PRF) Editorial Board—a program of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). We are excited to welcome up to 20 new members to support the relaunch of PRF and its expanded mission in 2025.
Editorial Board Member Role Description
IASP–PRF Editorial Board Members are senior scientists and clinicians (Assistant Professor or equivalent and above) who guide the content and direction of the Pain Research Forum, an international platform for pain science news, dialogue, and engagement.
As an Editorial Board Member, you will:
- Attend quarterly virtual board meetings
- Produce or oversee at least two content contributions per year (e.g., articles, interviews, Papers of the Week, webinars, or discussion posts)
- Help identify emerging trends, noteworthy research, and underrepresented areas in pain science
- Promote engagement on The Pain Researcher, our scientific discussion board
- Serve as a mentor and partner to Early Career Contributors
This is a volunteer role with a three-year term. PRF Board Members help elevate the visibility and quality of international pain research while strengthening the global IASP community.
