• If you're like me and tend to get too literal with questions like these, this is your reminder that it's not that serious! Go with your gut! And remember that "indifferent" is only an option if you truly don't care at all.

  • We want our photographer to blend into the background and capture candid interactions.*
  • Our guests are as vital to our wedding day as we are.*
  • We want a photographer who is very hands on, tells us exactly what to do and how to act in front of the camera.*
  • We want photos of our wedding, not a wedding centered around taking photos.*
  • We don’t believe in following wedding traditions (ex. bouquet/garter toss, cake cutting, special dances, first looks, etc.) just because they're expected. We're keeping what we like and being intentional with how we spend our time.*
  • We like the structure of a typical wedding day and are happy to spend around 3 hours in total taking posed or directed photos.*
  • We’d rather live our wedding day than pose for it. We don’t want to spend more than 30 minutes to an hour taking posed or directed photos.*
  • Faking it for the photo (redoing something, fake laughing, etc.) does NOT give us the ick.*
  • We want to see joy and laughter in our photos, double-chins and all!*
  • When I envision getting our wedding photos back, I picture a full gallery of beautifully curated images just like the ones I see on Pinterest or in magazines.*
  • A great photo is a photo that makes me feel.*
