• Museums and Mudpies Summer 2026 Playgroup Application

  • Thank you for your interest in joining Museums and Mudpies Learning Playgroup! We are excited for this summer's activities. Information from this application will be used as a contract for the 2026 Summer Adventure sessions. Information will remain confidential between yourself and Ms. Adrienne. Ms. Deveny will be joining our team, if our group gets larger than 6 kids; she is an active, caring, and fantastic teacher who has an Early Childhood Education degree. Other leaders will be: Ms. Sophie is in an undergraduate education program at CSU currently, Girl Scout school junior leaders, or high school students. Our groups may have kids from age 3-9, please reach out if your child is out of those bounds, before you apply. We love having sibling pairs and family groups! Our activities are dynamic and changing, based on the group's interests and ages.

  • Learning Adventure Groups

    Museums and Mudpies is for children ages 3-9 and is based in the Louisville/Lafayette area.

    •  The typical half day runs from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a full-day option until 3:00 p.m.
    • The 2026 Summer Adventures run from May 25th - August 14th. (August dates are subject to change)
    • Students will be outside the majority of the time. Depending on the week and weather, we will have field trips to local (Denver, Boulder, Louisville, and Lafayette) museums and playgrounds. 
    • Transportation will be the responsibility of parents/caregivers. If there is another location for the activity, we will walk, use RTD, or carpool. 

    Learning Themes:

    Our adventure groups consist of a theme for the week, with corresponding activities, art, experiments, and games. Please note below if there is a theme you'd like for your week(s).

    • Energy in Colorado (coal and solar history)
    • Dinosaurs and Fossils
    • Artists and Art
    • Solar System
    • Transportation
    • History of Colorado (Indigenous people and the earth, historical lives of kids)
    • Insects and Bugs (bees and butterflies!)
    • Communities and leadership


    We’ll be walking and playing a lot. We will have water to wash hands + fruit/veggie/protein snack all ready for you.

  • Statement of Consent & Waiver 

    I hereby agree and declare that I am the legal parentguardian of the above-named child and hereby consent to the child's participation in the activities that are described to me in registration process. I understand that activities of the kind described may result in physical injury to my child but nonetheless specifically request that he or she be allowed to participate in those activities.


    If the above-named child requires any emergency medical treatment or procedures during the activities, I hereby consent to activity supervisor(s) to make any decision and take any action to arrange for such procedures or treatments in the discretion of the activity supervisor(s).


    I, the parent/guardian, hereby agree and declare that I have carefully read and understand the scope of the summer activities and I consent to the participation of the above-named child to these activities.

     

    Any type of injury that may occur to the child without the fault of the group management and activity supervisors, the management cannot be held responsible for any harm that may occur to the child without the fault of the management and activity supervisors.
