At Willow Childminding, our primary role is to act as a connection service, linking families with babysitters in their area. While we strive to offer reliable and convenient booking solutions, it's important for families to understand that Willow Childminding is not responsible for any incidents, claims, disputes, or legal matters that may arise between parents and the babysitters they choose through our platform.

Role of Willow Childminding:
We are a booking platform designed to connect parents with babysitters who meet their childcare needs. Our responsibilities are limited to providing a platform through which families and babysitters can communicate and arrange services. We do not employ or vet the babysitters directly beyond the initial registration process.

Payment and Fees:
The initial deposit paid to Willow Childminding covers the cost of using our service and helps facilitate the booking process. Once the babysitter has been booked, any further payments, including compensation for services rendered, should be made directly to the babysitter. Willow Childminding does not handle payments beyond the initial deposit, and we are not responsible for any financial transactions, disputes, or agreements between families and babysitters after the initial payment.

Liability:
Willow Childminding will not be held responsible or liable for any:Injuries, accidents, or incidents that occur during babysitting sessions. Legal claims, disputes, or issues arising between parents and babysitters, including but not limited to child safety, conduct, or performance. Financial transactions or agreements made directly between parents and babysitters. We strongly encourage parents to perform their own due diligence when selecting a babysitter, including verifying qualifications, experience, and references.

Indemnity:
By using our platform, parents and babysitters agree to indemnify and hold harmless Willow Childminding from any claims, losses, or damages that may arise due to the use of our service or any interactions between parents and babysitters arranged through our platform.

Willow Childminding acts solely as a service provider connecting families and babysitters. By using our platform, parents acknowledge and accept that we do not assume responsibility for the actions, conduct, or legal matters related to the babysitters they book through our service.

We utilise photographs and videos to showcase these experiences on our social media platforms and other communications, allowing us to connect with families and our community.
While we often capture images of our caregivers and the activities we engage in, we prioritise the privacy and dignity of the children in our care. Therefore, we require your consent for any photographs or videos that include your child. We ensure that all images shared will be of the utmost appropriateness, meaning no photos or videos will be taken in private areas such as bathrooms and pools/beaches where children are not wearing full coverage clothing.

By granting permission, you allow Willow Childminding to take photographs and/or videos of your child. You also grant us full rights to use these images, including any reproductions or adaptations, for promotional purposes that align with our advertising goals. This may include, but is not limited to, the use of images in printed materials, online publications, and across our social media platforms.

Payment Policy:

Once you have completed the booking form and we have successfully found a babysitter for your requested date and time, you will receive an email titled "Book a Babysitter Request." This email will include a link for you to pay a deposit, which will be deducted from your final payment. This deposit must be completed to confirm your designated sitter for the job. Once the deposit is paid, your booking will be entered into the sitter's calendar, and your booking will be confirmed. A final payment invoice will be sent to you two days prior to your scheduled booking, detailing how to pay the remaining balance directly to the babysitter. Please note that deposits are non-refundable, except in the following cases:

- If Willow Childminding cancels your booking and cannot provide an alternative caregiver

- If your original sitter cancels and we are unable to offer another team member. Deposits are not refundable if you change your mind, cancel your booking, or request a reduction in hours after the deposit has been paid.

This policy is in place to minimise cancellations from clients and ensure that our team members can budget effectively based on confirmed bookings. Many of our caregivers rely on consistent work hours for their financial stability, whether they are studying or providing for themselves. If you provide us with more than 48 hours' notice, your deposit may be credited towards your next booking. Thank you for your understanding and support of our policies. To facilitate this, we have established a policy that all communication must occur exclusively through the Willow Childminding Facebook page (Messenger). This policy is in place for several important reasons:Firstly, it helps eliminate misunderstandings and miscommunications regarding bookings, changes in times, or additional dates between our babysitters and administrative staff.
By centralising communication, we ensure that all parties are on the same page and have access to the same information. Secondly, this approach allows Jaida, the owner of Willow Childminding, to monitor interactions between team members and clients. This oversight ensures that appropriate language is used, updates are provided to parents, and any issues can be addressed promptly. Should any concerns arise, Jaida can easily contact the client directly through the page and review past conversations for context. In emergency situations, our team members are permitted to reach out to parents via their private phone numbers if they need to communicate urgently. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this communication policy, as it helps us provide the best possible service to you and your family.

By signing this agreement, you, as the client, acknowledge and accept the terms outlined above. You understand that Willow Childminding operates solely as a booking and connection service between families and babysitters, and does not employ, supervise, or assume responsibility for the actions, conduct, or performance of any babysitter. You agree that Willow Childminding is not liable for any incidents, claims, disputes, legal matters, or financial transactions that may arise between you and any babysitter you engage through our platform.
Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Willow Childminding from any losses, damages, or claims resulting from the use of our service or your interactions with babysitters arranged through our platform. Your signature signifies your full understanding and acceptance of these terms.
