Job Title: Social Media Marketing Intern – Operations & Account Management

Position Summary:
As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you’ll work directly with the founder/manager to support the back-end operations of running social media accounts. You’ll help ensure posts go out on time, analytics are tracked, content is organized, and creative campaigns are executed smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the behind-the-scenes work that powers effective social media marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with scheduling and publishing content using tools like Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite
• Monitor social media accounts for engagement and assist with replying to comments or DMs
• Help maintain and update content calendars for multiple accounts
• Organize creative assets (photos, videos, captions) for easy access and campaign readiness
• Track post performance and prepare basic analytics reports
• Support brainstorming sessions for social content ideas and trends
• Research relevant hashtags, sounds, and competitors
• Ensure all posts align with brand voice and content strategy
Qualifications:
- Ages 18-24 and located in Memphis, TN
• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a marketing, communications, digital media, or related program
• Strong interest in social media marketing, digital content, and brand storytelling
• Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Threads.
• Experience with tools like Canva, Google Docs/Sheets, and scheduling apps (a plus, but not required)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
• Strong written communication skills and basic understanding of brand tone and audience
