  • The Solderer/Assembler is responsible for performing entry-level hand assembly and soldering operations in accordance with industry and in-house standards. The position requires completion of all in-house certifications, as well as IPC-A-610 inspection and J-STD-001 soldering certifications. The operator will perform tasks including component preparation, basic mechanical assembly, label application, depaneling, and operation of DI wash and wave solder equipment under supervision. This individual must adhere to ESD safety protocols and demonstrate teamwork, attention to detail, and adaptability.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Perform component preparation in accordance with shop floor documentation.
    Conduct hand soldering and mechanical assembly operations to standard.
    Load and unload printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies from DI wash and wave solder conveyors.
    Apply and scan labels using the JEI-TTC traceability system.
    Depanel assembled PCB arrays.
    Support first piece and in-process inspections as required or directed.
    Follow all ESD control protocols and safety procedures.
    Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
    Work collaboratively and respectfully in a team environment.
    Flexibly perform other duties as directed by supervision.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.
    Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics assembly environment preferred.
    IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications required.
    Familiarity with ISO standards is a plus.

    Skills and Abilities:

    Ability to read and interpret visual aids, assembly drawings, specifications, and procedural documentation.
    Comfortable using basic measurement tools (e.g., voltmeter, vernier caliper, micrometer).
    Basic computer literacy, including navigating file directories and accessing digital documentation and traceability systems.
    Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
    Ability to multitask and quickly shift between assemblies or processes.
    Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
    Must maintain 20/20 vision (corrective lenses allowed).
    Ability to sit or stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
    Must be able to work in a warm/humid environment when required.

    Working Conditions:

    Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to soldering equipment and assembly tools.
    Occasional exposure to high temperatures or humid conditions.
