BIO on the BAYOU 2025 Start-Up Pitch Application
  • BIO on the BAYOU presents University Research the way YOU want it, as the signature event showcases academic science & biotech from the entire Gulf South region. Join senior executives and top decisionmakers from the corporate, investor, foundation, government, and academic sectors as we work together to advance cutting-edge research from the bench to the bedside.

To continue to advance life sciences in the region, this year we welcome start-ups that have spun out or licensed technologies from academic institutions to apply to present their work at the conference. We anticipate having a minimum of 10 start-up presentation slots, with each slot being 10 minutes long (7-minute company pitch with 3-minute audience Q&A). Please fill out the form below to apply for a slot if you are interested in presenting. Notes: 1) There is no charge to present, and 2) Start-ups without academic affiliations are welcome to apply, but will be considered for slots available after evaluation of startups that meet the preferred criteria.

A panel of industry experts will evaluate the applications and invite those considered to have the greatest potential interest for partnering, consistent with the event's focus. Applicants will be notified via e-mail on the outcome of their application by August 15. If selected to present, applicants will be advised of the additional steps necessary to secure their presentation slot.

    Startup Criteria:
