The 2026 Miss South Carolina and North Carolina Elementary America State Pageants are the official state pageants for the Miss Elementary America Pageant. 

State Winners will be invited to represent their state in Little Rock, Arkansas at the 2026 Miss Elementary America Pageant in June 2026.

Competition Includes:
● Interview: Attire requirement is Sundress or Dressy Outfit. Contestants should wear very little to no makeup for this phase of competition. The interview competition is worth 40% of the overall score. Each contestant will take part in an individual 2-minute panel style interview. A contestant Resume is required to be completed for the interview. See the example listed below. This competition will focus on the ability to speak confidently and portray one's individual personality. This will be a fun interview to show the judges your personality.
● Evening Gown: Attire requirement is a long dress. The evening gown competition is worth 40% of the overall score. Each contestant will take the stage in the formal wear gown of their choosing. This is the time to walk confidently and capture the entire audience's attention with your elegance and grace. It is important for one to be confident and comfortable in their evening gown presentation. Contestants are expected to walk on stage by themselves for stage competitions.
● Fashion Runway: Attire requirement is an outfit that shows your personal style: Fashionable Outfit, Pantsuit, Sundress, Cocktail, etc. No Hats, No Jeans, No Flip Flops. Fashion runway is worth 20% of the overall score. This is an exciting and upbeat competition. Contestants are encouraged to wear a red-carpet worthy outfit that appropriately shows off their personality and confidence. It is important for one to have fun and show their true personality during this phase of competition. Contestants are expected to walk on stage by themselves for stage competitions.

Age Divisions:
Based on Contestant's Current Grade (Fall 2025):
● Kindergarten: Preschool Students
● Jr Elementary: Kindergarten and 1st Grade
● Elementary: 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade
● Sr Elementary: 4th Grade and 5th Grade

*Note: At the national pageant the contestants will be broken out into 7 age groups (K-6th)

Additional Info:
● Headshot/ Roster Photo: A contestant headshot must be submitted to the appropriate link (click here) by December 2, 2025 for the program book and social media posting. Photos must be in color, high resolution, headshot only, no full body shots.
● Opening number: Elementary contestants will not need an opening number outfit. They will compete in fun fashion and then gown.
● Contestant Resume: Must be only one page. Please follow the template shown below. The resume must be submitted in PDF file format to the appropriate link (click here) by December 15, 2025.
● Ad Page: One Mandatory Ad page is required to the state office by December 2, 2025. The ad page fee is $200 and may be sponsored by parents, family and friends, or businesses. Most contestants opt to have 20 people donate a $10 good luck wish for their $200 ad page. Your full-page ad will be featured in the program book and the state office is covering the cost of your ad page design. The creation of the ad page is coordinated by the pageant office. Contestant should not submit a completed ad page design file. You simply send in the picture you want featured and the names/logos of the sponsors, family, friends that you would like listed on the ad to the appropriate link (Click Here). Optional Competitions:
These competitions are completely separate and optional from the age division title. They will be awarded separately on stage before crowning. 

● Color Photogenic: Enter your headshot in the optional color photogenic competition. This contest is $30 and you may enter additional photos for $15 each. Winner will receive a gift and will be recognized on stage! Click Here to enter this optional competition.
● Black and White Photogenic: Enter a Black and White Headshot of your choice in the Black and White Photogenic Competition.  This contest is $30 and you may enter additional photos for $15 each. Winner will receive a gift and will be recognized on stage! Click Here to enter this optional competition.
● Age Division Cover Model Award: Awarded to the contestant with the most ad page sales in her division. (Minimum of 2 ad pages) Winner will receive a CROWN and COVER MODEL SASH and will be crowned our divisional Cover Model Winner. *Please note this winner does not advance to the national competition. Deadline to enter this optional is December 2, 2025. ● Overall Cover Model Award: Awarded to the contestant with the most ad page sales of all of the Elementary contestants. Our Overall Cover Model will be featured on the inside front cover of the program book OR on the back cover of the program book. Our Overall Cover model’s photo will also be enlarged, displayed and featured throughout pageant weekend and will receive a cash gift! CROWN and OVERALL COVER MODEL SASH and will be crowned our Overall Cover Model Winner!  *Please note this winner does not advance to the national competition. Deadline to enter this optional is December 2, 2025. Step 1: Submit the entry form below and entry fee or non refundable $50 deposit

Once Entry Form and Deposit are received, then you will be put on the official contestant list and begin receiving all contestant communications.

Step 2: Submit contestant resume, roster photo/headshot and ad page information to the appropriate links before the designated deadlines. We are happy to have you and please let us know if you have any questions at all!
