Camp Volunteer Cell Phone Policy
Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging, and distraction-free experience for all campers. By limiting phone use, we help campers stay engaged, build friendships, and fully enjoy their camp experience.
Thank you for modeling positive behavior and helping us create a focused, fun, and safe environment for everyone. Camp Volunteers play an important role in setting the example, so we ask that all volunteers follow the cell phone guidelines below.
If you have any questions about this policy, please contact Co-Director Grace Bader at 360-831-3753.
Cell Phone Guideline during Camp Hours
- Cell phones should be kept on silent and stored in backpacks or designated staff areas while campers are present.
- Phones may only be used for camp-related purposes (pictures, emergencies, coordinating with directors, checking schedules, etc.).
- Personal texting, social media use, phone calls, or scrolling should not take place during program time.
- Volunteers should not use phones while actively supervising campers.
If a volunteer needs to keep their phone accessible due to a family situation, please notify the Camp Director at the start of the day.
In the event of a camp-related emergency, volunteers may use their phones as directed by camp leadership.
