    Hours - 10 or 20 per week
    Possible overtime - 2 or 4 hours on Sunday afternoons (July, August and September) and occasional overnights on a Friday night
    Rate of pay - £13.45 per hour, (pay rise pending) before tax/NI deductions
    Location - Corstorphine, Edinburgh (EH12 7)

    Disabled man looking for 2 or 3 PAs/carers to help with everyday tasks (including meal preparation) and social activities eg. going to the gym, swimming and walks.
    Ideal candidates must be enthusiastic, patient, calm, have a good sense of humour, fit and healthy enough to lift my electric wheelchair in and out of the car and comfortable with assisting me and taking part in the social activities I enjoy as well as just providing company/companionship in my home by perhaps playing a board game or helping to do a jigsaw.

  • Timesheets for the preceding 4 or 5 weeks are submitted to a payroll service (who calculate National Insurance and Tax deducttions) usually on the 2nd or 3rd Monday of the month and wages are paid by bank transfer to a UK bank account by the 5th of the following month, is this acceptable to you?*

  • I am looking to recruit permanent Personal Assistant(s)/Carer(s), who can support me in the following ways -

    Meal-time support:

    Preparing and cooking food

    Cutting-up food

    Feeding dependent on food-type and situation

    Washing dishes and general cleaning of kitchen after food prep

    Community activities (including swimming and gym work out):

    Lifting electric wheelchair in and out of the car

    Support with paying for goods and services

    Swimming:

    Undressing and dressing

    Support with walking and getting in and out of pool

    Support with snorkel

    Gym workout:

    Undressing and dressing

    Support with setting up equipment and various exercises

    Hydration support

    Dressing assistance:

    Application of creams/lotions for eczema

    Help with buttons/fastenings and getting clothes on and off

    Social Activities:

    Assisting me to go to cinema, out for meals/drinks/snacks, shopping, go for walks and occasional day trips etc

    Helping me to identify new activities

    Other tasks:

    Assistance maintaining upkeep of equipment e.g., wheelchair.

    Any other reasonable task required.

  • I am looking to recruit 2 or 3 PAs to cover the following shifts -

    Weekday evenings

    • Monday 5-7pm - Help with evening meal
    • Tuesday 4-9pm - Swimming and help with evening meal
    • Wednesday 4-8pm or 5-9pm - Gym and help with evening meal

    Friday morning

    • 9:30am-12noon - Help with breakfast and grocery shop

    Friday afternoon

    • 2-6pm - Social activity and help with evening meal

    Saturday

    • 10am-4pm - Breakfast/Lunch and social activity OR
    • 12noon-6pm - Social activity and help with lunch and evening meal

    Sunday

    • 9am-11am - Breakfast and help with dressing
