SUMMER 2025 League AGE, FORMAT, DATES, LOCATION, TIMES

• Open Roster Format: Players register and pay for the season, but are not on designated or "set" teams. We divide into teams at the start of each game to make the playing level competitive on both sides. 
• While the league is age 40+, age 25+ women who play in the SRWAC Casual Wednesday Sessions or have played in prior Scripps Summer Pickup Sessions are invited to join as long as they play to the level of each game. Our current league players range in age from 38 to 65.
• Field is at Scripps Ranch Community Park below the recreation center.
• We will play 8v8 or 9v9.
• Season is 11 weeks with 22 total games.
• Season is June 18 – August 28, 2025
• Games are on WEDNESDAYS and THURSDAYS
• Games are 90 minutes with a half-time break. Teams can request quarter breaks for goalie switches and water breaks. In that case, game time is not extended.
• Games are 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

SUMMER 2025 League Costs

• The field permit is $1,500 and 1 referee/game is $1,980 for the 22 games.
• We need at least 20 players/game x 2 games/week = 40 players/week.
• We'll plan to register 55 to 60 players for summer season.
• Cost is $5 to $6 per game if you play one game per week (11 times) and ~$10 per game if you play 6 games out of the 22 total games. $65 for standard players and $55 for players with SRWAC 2025 Annual Paid Membership (link opens new tab to register as a Member).
• We may offer "half season" registration starting in July if we aren't getting enough players at each game.

SUMMER 2025 League Rules

• Field is natural grass with the usual dirt spots, lumpiness and holes. We will do our best to get the maintenance department to keep it safe for us!
• Referees start the clock at 7pm. If teams are not ready to play, the time is not adjusted to allow for the full game.
• There must be 7 players on each team to start the game.
• Cleats and shinguards are required.
• Bring a white shirt and a dark shirt to each game.
• Jewelry and watches must be covered or removed.
• No slidetackling. Field players cannot touch or protect the ball while on the ground.
• All experienced / skilled / competitive players should be able to adjust their speed and style of play to keep the competition fair and safe.
• We cannot play when the ground is wet, whether or not it is raining at the time the game starts.

The undersigned therefore releases Scripps Ranch Women's Athletic Club (SRWAC), it's members, teams agents, officers, officials, coaches and players, and the City of San Diego from all liability or responsibility for any claim, damage or legal action on behalf of the player, their parents, their heirs or personal representatives, arising from any injury the player may sustain while participating in soccer or related activities.
