  • Welcome to the London Child Poverty Summit 2025 – Pre-Summit Survey

The London Child Poverty Summit is an annual event that brings together experts, practitioners, and young people to explore the causes, impacts, and solutions to child poverty.

This year, our summit will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) and social media are connected to child poverty.

We’ve picked this topic for some important reasons:

    • AI and social media are becoming a big part of everyday life, and it’s important for anyone working with children and young people, to understand how it affects them
    • During last year’s summit youth panel, many of the young speakers mentioned social media and how it is affecting them and their friends, both positively and negatively.
    • Right now, we’re helping with a research project from Cambridge University. It looks at how new AI-powered toys might affect the mental health and wellbeing of young children, especially those who don’t have access to many resources.

This short survey will help us plan the summit in a way that reflects what young people and those fighting child poverty really care about.

If you finish this survey you will be entered into a competition to win a £50 voucher. To be entered into the prize draw, you must state the name of the charity that shared this survey with you.

Please do your best to answer all questions but if there are anything you can’t answer, feel free to skip it.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to share your thoughts!
