3 Items Needed for Players with Down Syndrome:

    1. Documentation stating the TYPE of Down syndrome:
At the International level a Cytogenetic report (typically given just after birth) is required. Those who don't have this can include a note from a doctor or medical record that states Trisomy 21, Translocation or Mosaic as the type of Down syndrome to be able to start playing in Project Inspire League.

    2. A copy of a past NECK X-RAY medical report that rules out AAI. Most athletes with Down syndrome have had this. If not you will need to schedule one with your doctor for athlete safety playing soccer.

    3. The VIRTUS DOCTER RELEASE must be signed by your doctor. We'll send you a link you can share with your doctor by email after you submit your application.www.athleteswithoutlimits.org/eligibility/aai-physician-form

    Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE)
Some medications that athletes with intellecutal impairments need may be considered "banned substances" in which case additional paperwork signed by your doctor is needed. So we can help provide guidance please enter the athlete's medications below.
