    The Stewardship of Time refers to the conscious and prayerful use of the hours and moments of time God has given us. It involves recognizing time as a precious gift and using it wisely to grow in our faith, serve others, and fulfill God's will in our lives. This stewardship calls us to prioritize activities that foster our spiritual growth, such as prayer, attending Mass, reading Scripture, and participating in the Sacraments. It also extends to how we use our time in serving our families, communities, and those in need. By managing our time with intention and purpose, we honor God and contribute to the building of His kingdom on Earth.

    The Stewardship of Talent refers to the recognition and use of the unique gifts and abilities that God has given to each person. It involves discerning how these talents can be used not only for personal fulfillment, but also for the glory of God and service to others. The Church teaches that our talents are entrusted to us by God to build up the Church and to advance His Kingdom on Earth. The faithful are called to develop and share their talents generously, fostering a spirit of gratitude and humility. By using our talents in ways that reflect God's love and purpose, we fulfill our role as co-creators with Him and as stewards of His gifts.

    The Stewardship of Treasure involves responsibly managing and generously sharing the material and financial resources God has entrusted to us. Recognizing all we have as gifts from God, we are called to support the Church, care for those in need, and further God's work on Earth through our tithes, offerings, and charitable giving. This practice reflects our faith and trust in God, acknowledging that our true wealth is found in our relationship with Him.

  • In thanksgiving for God's gifts, each household at St. Michael Catholic Church is asked to give a specific percentage of income based on the Biblical tithe:

    5% TO THE OFFERTORY TO ST. MICHAEL

    1% TO THE ARCHDIOCESE, AND

    4% TO OTHER CHARITIES FOR A TOTAL OF 10%

    To calculate your annual gift, multiply the percent of your gift by your annual income. 

    To calculate your monthly gift, divide your annual gift by 12.

    To calculate your weekly gift, divide your annual gift by 52.
