Do you have a shelf full of books that could use a new home?  Dishware collecting dust in a box?  A garage full of tools waiting for the next handy person?  Or maybe some clothes that someone else could enjoy?  

Instead of hosting your own garage sale, why not join us for the “From Our Home to Yours” Community Parking Lot Yard Sale at Geerlinks Home Hardware!  Just pack your trunk with anything you want to sell and come on by.

We have 40 parking spaces available for households to sell gently used items from their designated spot.  Each parking space is 8'8" by 17'11".

Registration Details:

• Fee: $15 per parking space (as a donation to local fundraising initiatives)
• Deadline to Register: August 6, 2025 at 5:00 PM
• Registration is first come, first served
• Payment is due at time of registration (e-transfer)
• Registration is not final until payment is received

Please Note:

• Tables and chairs are not provided but will be available to rent
• Sellers are responsible for pricing their items and removing any unsold goods at the end of the event
• Setup begins at 7:00 AM, with shopping starting at 9:00 AM
• By registering, you agree to the Terms and Conditions provided by Geerlinks HHBC (see below).

Geerlinks Home Hardware Building Centre is offering table rentals through St. Thomas Rent-All.  The rental fee is $15 for one 8' table.  

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

• Arrive and set up on Saturday, August 16, 2025 starting at 7am.  Sellers must be fully set up and ready to sell by 8:30am.
• No early packing – vendors must stay for the full duration of the event.
• Sellers may bring their own tents, tables and/chairs.
• Tables are availabe for rent.  Must include rental fee with registration fee.
• Sellers must provide your own cash float.
• Sellers are responsible for ensuring all items comply with local laws and regulations.
• The event organizers reserve the right to remove any prohibited items and/or ask sellers to leave if they fail to comply. NO REFUNDS.
• Participants assume full responsibility for their items and transactions.
• The organizers are not liable for any disputes, accidents, or damages.
• Vendors are responsible for their own setup and takedown, including garbage and personal affects.  A disposal fee of $100 will be applied if items are not removed.
• Electricity is not provided or available.
• All seller items must not exceed the marked parking space(s) they have registered for.
• All fees are non-refundable.

 

By participating in this Community Parking Lot Yard Sale, all sellers and attendees agree to abide by the following guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.

PROHIBITED ITEMS:
The sale, display, or distribution of the following items is strictly forbidden:

• Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to firearms, ammunition, knives, explosives, or replicas.
• Flammable, hazardous, or toxic substances, including gasoline, lighter fluid, fireworks, or other combustible materials.
• Illegal or controlled substances, including drugs, drug paraphernalia, or alcohol.
• Offensive or controversial items, including those that promote hate speech, violence, or discrimination.
• Counterfeit or stolen goods, including any items that violate trademarks, copyrights, or other legal protections.
• Brand new, retail or business branded merchandise. The community yard sale is for second-hand goods only.
• Food or beverage sales, including store bought or homemade goods.

 

To complete your registration, please send your registration fee via e-transfer to accounting.geerlinks@homehardware.ca.

Be sure to include your full name and "YARD SALE 2025" in the message section of the transfer.

Your registration will not be finalized until payment is received.
