1. Every angler must be entered and registered before the start date and time of the Derby.
Anglers 17 and older entry fee: $35
Anglers 16 and under entry fee: $15
2. All registered anglers must have a valid Texas Fishing License.
3. Anglers cannot enter any fish caught before the start date and time.
4. All fish must be caught using a rod, reel, hook, and line.
5. All fish must be caught in public waters and not in restricted waterways such as the Dow Barge Canal, Colorado River locks, Brazos River floodgates, or other restricted waterways.
6. All fish must be caught legally according to all Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) regulations.
7. All fish must be submitted through this form with clear photos of the fish and the form completed in its entirety. Submissions that are incomplete or contain photos that do not clearly display the fish within legal size limits will not be accepted.
8. In the drop-pin section of the submission form, anglers must drop a pin at their location to verify the fish was caught in accepted waterways. For example, if using 9. Apple Maps, the pin must be placed next to the blue location indicator.
In the event of a tie, the winning fish will be determined by the first submission received.
10. Winners will be announced through Brazosport College communication channels, including email and social media. Winners will be notified to collect their awards in the Brazosport College Fitness Loft located in Room J230 on the Brazosport College campus.
11. Participants may fish offshore, inshore, from the bank, or by kayak.
12. Participants may not use a professional guide. This means that if you enter the Derby, you may not pay to fish with a guide in any capacity, including inshore, offshore, or bank fishing. Knowledge of the use of a professional guide will result in automatic disqualification.
13. No submissions after the posted end time of the competition will be counted in the final leaderboard analysis.
14. Derby Directors’ decisions are final.
