Volunteering with Adelaide Equestrian Festival is a flexible and rewarding experience. With a range of shifts available across weekdays and the weekend, you can find opportunities that suit your schedule—all while being part of one of the largest equestrian sports event in the Southern Hemisphere.

To be part of the Adelaide Equestrian Festival team, you must:

Be 18 years of age or older OR
Have permission or be accommpanied by parent and/or guardian if younger than 18 years of age.
Be flexible, reliable, and ready to work both independently and as part of a team.
Complete our volunteer induction/onboarding.
Be willing to embrace and uphold the Adelaide Equestrian Festival values.

As an Adelaide Equestrian Festival volunteer, you’ll have the chance to get involved across a wide range of Festival and Competition activations around the festival hub in Victoria Park and across the Adelaide Park Lands.

Volunteers are provided a commemorative pin and a hat as a keepsake plus refreshments and lunch depending on the shift they select and the duration they are volunteering for.

ORIENTATION DAY

When: Sunday 12 April 2026

Where: Victoria Park Grandstand

Time: 12pm

Orientation Day aims to welcome and equip new and returning volunteers with the information and resources they need to succeed in their role, meet the Volunteer Coordinator and learn more about the venue.

This is an informal gathering with refreshments provided, a number of volunteers will be moved into working groups to learn about specific tasks.

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS

There are many different roles throughout the event, as well as working bees prior to support refurbishment of our Cross Country jumps.

Please make sure you tick only the day/s you are available to help, our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch to confirm details. It is important that your email and mobile details are correct so we can distribute the volunteer schedule and keep everyone informed.

Please note volunteers receive a commemorative pin and hat as a keepsake, refreshments and lunch dependent on duration of shift will also be provided. Volunteers must wear a Festival Vest so they are easily identified when on duty and return these to the Volunteer Office each day.

Easter Long Weekend Working Bee: Friday April 3 - Monday April 6

Monday 13 April - Dressage Arena Set Up, Victoria Park

Tuesday 14 April - Festival Hub Set Up, Victoria Park

Thursday 16 April - Day 1 Dressage (Gates Open 8:00am) Currently we have enough volunteers for Thursday

Friday 17 April - Day 2 Dressage (Gates Open 8:00am) CURRENTLY WE HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS FOR FRIDAY

Saturday 18 April - Day 3 Cross Country (Gates Open 8:00am)

Sunday 19 April - Day 4 Show Jumping (Gates Open 7:30am) Help needed in assisting at the front gate or in other areas not with showjumping as we have enough helpers for the showjumping.
