Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Store Clerk to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service to shoppers and sellers
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Process clothing buy-ins by typing inventory into the system and calculating appropriate purchase prices
- Evaluate clothing for resale value, including identifying desirable brands and current styles
- Carefully inspect items for flaws, stains, damage, or signs of wear
- Sort and organize incoming inventory to maintain store quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Assist with general store operations as needed
Qualifications
- Previous cash handling experience required
- Ability to quickly learn pricing guidelines for secondhand clothing
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting items for flaws and quality
- Basic computer and typing skills for entering inventory
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be available to work nights and weekends

Store Manager in Training (Resale Boutique & E-Commerce)
Cassandra’s Closet is seeking a motivated, reliable team member to join us in a Store Manager in Training position.
This is a unique growth-track role designed for someone who wants more than a typical retail job. The right candidate will help grow our online resale presence, coordinate live auctions, and eventually develop into a leadership role helping oversee daily store operations.
Our goal is to hire someone who can ultimately become a trusted extension of the owner — someone who understands the business, takes initiative, and helps guide the continued growth of Cassandra’s Closet.
Compensation & Growth Opportunity
Starting wage: $18 per hour
This role includes structured pay increases tied directly to the growth of our online inventory across Poshmark and eBay.
Our store currently maintains approximately 500 active listings. As listing milestones are reached and maintained for 30 consecutive days, compensation increases as follows:
650 Active Listings $19/hour
800 Active Listings $21/hour
1,000 Active Listings $23/hour +$250 milestone one-time bonus
1,250 Active Listings $25/hour +$500 milestone one-time bonus
1,500 Active Listings Manager-level review with potential compensation of $26–$28/hour
Experienced resale professionals who are efficient with listings may move through milestones quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Store Operations
Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor
Assist with inventory intake and brand evaluation
Support daily store operations and merchandising
E-Commerce Listings
Photograph and list inventory on Poshmark and eBay
Write clear and accurate product descriptions
Research pricing based on brand knowledge and resale trends
Maintain and grow active online listings
Relist and manage older inventory
Live Auction Coordination
Assist in organizing inventory for live auctions
Help prepare and schedule auction events
Support packing and fulfillment of auction orders
Occasionally assist during live auction events
Leadership Development
As this role grows, responsibilities may expand to include:
Overseeing store operations
Training new team members
Managing online inventory strategy
Assisting with marketing and sales initiatives
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
Knowledgeable about current trends, fashion brands and resale value
Familiar with platforms such as Poshmark, eBay, or similar resale marketplaces
Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Friendly and confident interacting with customers
Experience in a leadership role
Passionate about resale, fashion, and sustainable shopping
Experience in resale, consignment, vintage, or fashion retail is strongly preferred.
