This form is for high-priority schedule requests for inpatient medicine rotations, including consult and elective services.

Note: Inpatient scheduling instrinsically has limited flexibility, as it must ensure minimal staffing for ALL services, involves multiple trainees from a number of departments/sepcialties, and comply with ACGME duty hours, while honoring as many requests as possible. (This is especially true for the MICU and VA wards given the unique staffing requirements and call schedule).

Please keep the above in mind when submitting requests. I will attempt to accommodate as many requests submitted prior to the deadline as possible, but it may not be possible to accommodate all requests. Being as specific as possible, or providing as much additional detail as you feel comfortable, will help me determine the relative priority of each requests. Any schedule requests submitted after the deadline may be denied outright, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
