- Two (2) letters of recommendation: one from a teacher and one from a guidance counselor, assistant principal, or principal sent from the district email address to Marva.Wilks1@gmail.com. Recommendations sent from non-school email addresses will not be accepted.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for seven semesters.
- A short essay, 200-300 words essay discussing the following:
- Why you desire a career in the field you have chosen and why you feel you will be successful
- Your demonstrated interest in and association with Caribbean culture and affairs
- Your interest and involvement in community and school activities
- Evidence of financial need
- Upload an Acceptance letter from an accredited college/university, on the college/university’s letterhead or stationery.
- Please upload your Senior Year 1st Semester Report Card. (This report card has your 1st and 2nd Quarter grades, your semester exam grades, and your semester grades)
- Upload senior picture or headshot: Photograph and the bio will be published in our annual Friendship Ball Souvenir Program and CAFCI’s website. Photos and video will be used in media and print advertising and will remain the property of CAFCI.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must:
- Be a resident of Palm Beach County, Florida.
- Attend a Palm Beach County high school and expect to graduate at the end of the current academic year.
- Demonstrate an interest in Caribbean-American affairs.
- Be available for an interview - Date and time to be determined
- Attend Award Ceremony or forfeit award
