Christmas In July Lighted Kayak Parade

By participating in the Lighted Kayak Parade, all participants agree to the following terms and conditions: Participants acknowledge that kayaking, especially in a group or during nighttime conditions, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, equipment damage, collision, drowning, or loss of property. By choosing to participate, each individual voluntarily assumes all risks associated with this event. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Lighted Kayak Parade, participants hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the City of Woodland, Leslie Lawley, event organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and any associated entities from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, including but not limited to injury, loss, death, or property damage that may arise from or in connection with participation in this event, regardless of cause or negligence. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring their kayak and lighting equipment are in safe, working condition, wearing a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device (PFD), complying with local boating laws and regulations, and making sound decisions regarding weather, water conditions, and their personal physical limitations. In the event of an accident or medical emergency, participants consent to receive any medical treatment deemed necessary and agree to cover any and all medical costs incurred. Minors (under age 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must sign this agreement on their behalf. By participating in the Lighted Kayak Parade, I certify that I have read and understood this waiver and agree to its terms.
