AMP Stables & Boarding’s Summer Equitation Club is a week-long equestrian education program that blends riding, horse care, and hands-on learning in a fun, structured environment. Designed for kids ages 6-16, the program is open to all experience levels, no horse ownership or prior riding experience is required.
Participants take part in daily barn activities such as grooming, feeding, basic horse care, and barn chores, along with mounted riding time appropriate for each rider’s skill level. Structured horsemanship lessons introduce topics including horse behavior, tack and equipment, equine anatomy, grooming, and basic barn management.
Students work with several well-trained lesson horses throughout the program and learn the fundamentals of safe horse handling both on the ground and in the saddle. Guest speakers, such as farriers, veterinarians, and other equine professionals, may visit during the week to share their expertise and give participants a deeper look into the world of horse care.
Each day features new themes, lessons, and activities, making Summer Equitation Club a great option for both new and returning participants.
Families may register for the full week or individual days, providing flexible scheduling to fit summer plans.
Held in a safe, supportive barn environment, Summer Equitation Club helps young riders build confidence, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of horses, all while having fun and spending time outdoors.
