    Please note: This form is not for pet memorials. For memorializing a personal pet, please use the Pet Memorial Application.This form is for commissioning skeletons from animals I currently have in stock. All specimens are sustainably sourced from natural deaths & no animals are harmed for resale. Sources include local veterinarians, trusted licensed breeders, local roadkill, and pest trappers. Availability varies, as I do not source from mass suppliers.Do not apply if you are not ready financially. The whole reason I process animals is for artistic purposes and passions. So currently I am not selling skeletons by themselves for collectors. All skeletal commissions will come in artistic displays created by myself w/ the exception of very large animals in which I will sell by itself. I’ll only be accepting commissions that allow me full creative freedom. Creating art that doesn’t resonate with me defeats the purpose of being an artist. Some color combinations clients have requested in the past are pairings I personally would never choose. To stay true to my style and ensure you get my best work, I’ll now be asking clients to provide just one color as a starting point for their piece, the vessel they want it in & the animal skeleton they desire. From there, I’ll take care of the rest in my own style and vision.I truly appreciate that you’re coming to me because you love what I create.   • Displays

    Most animals will come in a shadowbox by default unless otherwise requested! But Animal sizing will determine the type of display (frame, coffin, globe). Vintage frames & Sconces are offered based on current availability & because they are authentic vintage pieces, a sourcing fee may apply if you request a specific style that requires custom sourcing. Unlimited supply of glass coffins, domes, globes, & shadowboxes. Displays come decorated with moss, crystals, insects, and florals, using materials I currently have on hand. I have a WIDE variety of these elements. Adult animals may be too big for this option, however if the buyer is willing to pay for a larger display to be sent to me- I will make an exception for special ordering one.

    This list can change due to animals I get in! I will do my best to update list. Shipping is not included in below quotes & will be calculated after completion of your commission. These quotes are based off manual labor involved per animal. These commissions can take upwards of 6-12 months as these skeletons are all preserved by hand from flesh to bone! This is an entirely manual and labor intensive commission & NONE of these animals are pre-prepped or outsourced from overseas. All animals are sourced whole & raw. Display is included in quote. If purchasing an animal that is too large for a display I will still include some crystals and stones, and accessories with it.

Some of these animals I have fetal & adult versions, so we can discuss more accurate quotes per sizing of animal once application is filled.

  • Expected Time Frames

    This process is neither quick nor simple. While the manual cleaning phase is relatively manageable in terms of time investment, degreasing is by far the most prolonged and critical stage. Depending on the species, age, and fat content of the specimen, effective degreasing can take quite a few months. Without sufficient patience and thoroughness, bones may appear fully degreased on the surface, yet still harbor residual fats deep within the porous structure. Over time, these lipids can leach out, resulting in a glossy sheen, tacky or greasy texture, and sometimes an unpleasant odor, ultimately compromising the preservation and aesthetic quality of the skeleton. On case by case scenario, degreasing can be completed sooner. Fetal animals usually don't take as long to degrease. I can't give exact time frames as every animal differs based on fat content but expect up to 6-12 months for some stubborn skeletons. Regardless of how thorough specimens are degreased, it is still possible for deep oils to surface over the years.

    If you plan on ordering this as a gift or have a specific deadline, you'll need to order this in advance appropriately for estimated time frames. Digital printable gift cards are available upon request if you still want to gift someone a skeleton piece but won't meet the deadline. Digital Gift cards will come personalized with sender & receiver names, along with company logo and dollar amount for commission.

  • Refund Policy

    Deposits are non-refundable. Once deposit is paid, I start buying supplies I need. If you are unsatisfied with the final result, no refund will be issued. If you fail to pay the remainder balance, your commission will be resold to recover costs & your deposit will not be refunded.
    I provide detailed communication and progress updates throughout the process, allowing time for feedback before completion☺️
    Willingly backing out of a commission is not a reason for a deposit refund & will be denied.

    Do NOT GHOST

    I hate to say it, but it's because it's happened many times where I'm left hanging. If you decide to not follow through with your comission, that is okay! Stuff happens. But Ghosting me / failure to communicate within a reasonable time frame when I contact you, will affect future eligibility on commissions. My time is valuable, just as yours is. Thank you for understanding 🖤

  • Signature agreement

    I understand and agree that all deposits are non-refundable-without exception, and that all shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. While Beetle Soup takes extensive preventative measures to ensure safe delivery, the business is not legally or financially liable for lost or damaged packages. All orders come with Tracking, Signature request upon delivery, and package Insurance to avoid any potential mail carrier issues. Upon approval of my application, I agree to submit a 50% non-refundable deposit within 24 hours. Failure to respond or submit payment within 24 hours will result in cancellation of my application and forfeiture of eligibility for future commissions. I understand that if I choose to cancel after submitting my application, it is 100% okay, as long as I communicate promptly to avoid any future commission forfeiture. I also acknowledge that, due to the nature of sustainable sourcing from natural deaths, specimens will not be in flawless condition. While they will be in acceptable and display-worthy shape, imperfections may be present and are to be expected. It’s also understood that skeletal remains may undergo natural shifts in coloration (yellow tint) over time due to factors such as environmental exposure, light, and residual organic content which is a normal and inherent aspect of long-term bone preservation.
