Enrichment Camps 2026
  • Keep your child moving, exploring, and learning this summer!

Keep your child moving, exploring, and learning this summer!

Our nature-based enrichment camps will have your kiddo off of screens and immersed in the magic of the outdoors—where real growth happens!
  • Our enrichment camps take place in natural settings away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, fostering a calm and alert nervous system. Research shows that time in nature supports attention, imaginative and social play, motor coordination, balance, and emotional well-being for children.

Led by occupational therapist Lindsey Stamper, owner of Forestways OT, along with OT students and volunteers, enrichment camps are designed for all children—not as a skilled therapy service. Therapy services are available separately through Forestways OT (see website for details).

  • Key Details:

    • Small group setting (10–12 children) with a 3:1 child-to-adult ratio.
    • 100% outdoor experience, with shelters for inclement weather.
    • In cases of extreme weather, sessions may be rescheduled, but refunds are not available.
    • Participants must be able to stay with the group.
  • All camps will be located at Highbanks Metro Park, 9466 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035. Camp time is 9am-12pm, Monday through Thursday.

          • Policies and Waivers

We’re almost done! Please review and acknowledge the following to complete registration.
            • Attendance & Pick Up Policy
            • Our camps rely on the consistent attendance of all camp members to have a fun and engaging experience together. But we know children sometimes get sick. Due to the short duration of this camp, reimbursement for absences is not possible. Late pick-ups in excess of 5 minutes after group ending time will be charged $2/minute.

            • Behavior Policy
            • Children who attend our enrichment camps are participating in a medium-sized group setting. We use positive discipline and natural consequences, as well as offering sensory strategies when helping children learn to regulate their behaviors. For all children in the group to receive benefit, we require children in our groups to maintain behaviors that do not significantly detract from the experience of other children in the group. Children who attend our camps must be able to stay with the group, follow directions (most of the time!), and have basic safety awareness in nature settings with an adult nearby but NOT always within arm’s reach. Our enrichment groups have an approximately one (1) adult to four (4) children ratio. We are not staffed to provide one-on-one support for children who require the full attention of a staff member. If a child exhibits disruptive behaviors that impact the participation of the other children in the group, we will discuss the child’s behavior with their parent/guardian to determine if a group model is right for the child at this time. After attempting to modify and support a child's behavioral needs in the group, and after deciding that our groups are not a good fit for the child, refunds will not be given.

            • Medical Waiver and Authorization
            • I certify that I have notified staff of Forestways OT, LLC (Forestways) of any and all medical conditions my minor child has of which Forestways should be aware in case of emergency. If I cannot be reached in case of emergency, I give permission for Forestways staff certified in CPR and first aid to provide treatment deemed medically necessary for my child.  In case of emergency, I further give permission for Forestways staff to arrange necessary emergency transportation for my child.

            • Participation Waiver
            • Forestways OT, LLC (Forestways) staff members make every effort to conduct safe programs, to orient and support children, and to inform families of inherent risks. Risk management is an essential element of all the activities that we offer. While we make all efforts to ensure the wellbeing of each child, some activities may involve risks that children do not routinely encounter at home. We are aware that it is neither possible to foresee every contingency nor to eliminate all risk.

I acknowledge and understand that program activities may include, but are not limited to, hiking on uneven terrain; playing active games; participating in activities near water; cooking over an open fire; being near insects, plants, and animals; and other applicable outdoor activities.  Some risks are inherent in program activities. I further acknowledge that such risks exist, and I hereby agree on behalf of my child to assume such risks. Further, on behalf of my child, in full recognition and appreciation of the dangers and hazards inherent in the program activities, I hereby agree to release, forever discharge, defend, indemnify and hold harmless Forestways and its officers, directors, agents, employees, contractors and volunteers, from and against any and all future liabilities, claims, demands, causes of action, and obligations of every kind and description arising out of, or in connection with, my child’s participation in Forestways and its activities, including, but not limited to, for any personal injury that my child may suffer while participating in the program activities.

            • Photo Release
            • With consent from a parent/guardian, Forestways OT, LLC (Forestways) will use photos and videos of participants on our website, in marketing materials, and on social media.

Forestways will also send emails to families sharing photos and videos of the children's adventures. Forestways will NEVER identify your child by name or release any of your child’s personal information.

            • Payment Policy
            • Payment of $280 must be made in full to confirm registration. Payment includes a $80 non-refundable deposit. Cancellations must be made before May 8, 2026 for a refund of $200. In the unlikely event of a weather closure, attempts to reschedule will be made but a refund will not be available. You will receive confirmation of participation via email within one week of payment.
