  • Session A: Strengthening CTE Pathways: Industry Input on Curriculum & Skills

    Target Audience: Employers and educators interested in specific CTE programs.

    Content: Facilitated discussion on current CTE curriculum, identifying skill gaps, new technology trends, and opportunities for industry professionals to provide input on program development and credentialing.

    Format: Moderated panel with industry experts and CTE instructors, followed by open discussion.


    Session B: Apprenticeships & Internships: Building the Talent Pipeline

    Target Audience: Employers looking to develop or expand apprenticeship/internship programs, and educators interested in connecting students with these opportunities.

    Content: Best practices for establishing successful apprenticeship and internship programs, legal considerations, funding opportunities, and success stories from local businesses and schools.

    Format: Presentations by HR professionals, apprenticeship coordinators, and educators, with Q&A.


    Session C: Career Development & Mentorship: Guiding Our Future Workforce

    Target Audience: Business partners interested in mentorship, educators, school counselors, and employers looking to engage with schools.

    Content: Discussion on career counseling, soft skills development, mock interviews, resume building, and the role of industry professionals in providing mentorship and career guidance to students.

    Format: Interactive workshop with case studies and brainstorming activities.

    Target Audience: Presidents/CEOs

  • 11:25 AM – 12:25 PM: Student Mock Interviews

  • Mock Interviews - The Mock Interview Experience offers LCPS students the opportunity to engage in realistic, one-on-one interview practice with business and industry professionals. Each 15-minute session allows students to sharpen their communication, professionalism, and critical thinking skills in a supportive environment

    During each rotation, students will:

    • Answer common interview questions
    • Receive on-the-spot feedback from professionals
    • Practice making a strong first impression

    Resources for the interviews (i.e., questions, pen & paper) will be provided at the event.
