    School sessions take place on:

    Sunday Mornings, 9-11:30 AM at Congregation Shir Shalom

    Hebrew Tutoring is scheduled at the family's convenience with the Hebrew tutor via Zoom (Grades 2-7 only). 

  • 2026-2027 Tuition:

  • TUITION IS BASED ON A 10-MONTH SCHOOL YEAR 

    Ganainu (Preschool monthly program, one child accompanied by an adult): $20/month

    Kindergarten & First Grade: $50/month 

    Second - Seventh Grade (includes 1-on-1 Hebrew Tutoring):  $70/month

    Early bird tuition:

    $30 off per child if registered Now-8/8/2026

  • Congregational Membership:  All families registering for the Buffalo Community of Learners must be members in good standing of Congregation Shir Shalom, Temple Beth Tzedek, or any other Buffalo congregation as per the membership rules of that congregation. (Families unaffiliated with a synagauge, please see below). 

    Tuition Billing:  Tuition costs will be billed to families.

    Scholarship: No child will be denied the opportunity to attend and fully participate in the Buffalo Community of Learners due to family financial need. Members can apply for Religious School Tuition Assistance from their respective congregations.

    Unaffiliated Families: B'COL welcomes unaffiliated families. Synagogue membership and attendance is highly encouraged. We require that unaffiliated families join either TBT or CSS by the beginning of 5th grade if they are planning a B'Nai Mitzvah at one of the synagogues in order to prepare for their Simcha.(Special Circumstances will be considered) Please contact Joanne at CSS at 716-633-8877 or Kim at TBT at 716-838-3232 for membership information. There is no Tuition Assistance available for unaffiliated families. Please contact Rabbi Einav Symons at 716-574-6016 for additional information.

    • Help, as needed, for B'COL programs or Holidays

  • Attendance Policy:  We recognize that children and their families may have other obligations or activities that, at times, interfere with their attendance at Buffalo Community of Learners.  We will provide a list of approved tutors who can be engaged to compensate for the lost classroom time. Families will be responsible for these costs. 

    Consecration, Bar/Bat Mitzvah:  Requirements, programs, and fees will be managed by the individual synagogues.
