World Expolympics Entry Form
Thank you for your interest in The Experiential Design Authority's World Expolympics competition, which recognizes the most remarkable examples of experiential design from Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. We encourage you to complete all answers in a Word doc and then copy and paste the content into the form below when you are ready to complete your entries. Please note that the Full Expolympics Entry grants your pavilion entry into all applicable categories for a single price. Fees are as follows: Early Deadline - June 20 ($200/entry or $795/Full Expolympics Entry), Regular Deadline - June 30 ($260/entry or $1,035/Full Expolympics Entry), Final Deadline - July 12 ($320/entry or $1,275/Full Expolympics Entry).

Overall Summary - Provide a textual overview of the pavilion, including thematic/conceptual inspiration for the space. This text may be published in coordination with the People's Choice voting portal. This overview should include a summary of the full guest experience, including the exterior of the pavilion and all indoor and outdoor experiential spaces, activities, presentations, etc. (500 words max)
Best Exterior Architecture: Please explain the concept and significance behind the pavilion's exterior design. Note any experiential elements, unique materials, or cultural significance behind the design. (500 words max)
Best Sustainable Pavilion: Please explain all sustainable materials, practices, and elements of the pavilion, noting ways in which the pavilion's architecture and design minimize its carbon footprint or environmental impact. Include any relevant details as they pertain to the pavilion's constructure and/or future reuse. (500 words max)
Best Activation/Engagement: Please explain up to three individual activities or experiences hosted inside or outside the pavilion. You may submit up to three, which will be judged individually. Include the purpose of the activity, the guest experience, and any details on how it engaged, immersed, educated, and/or entertained attendees. Please note that these must be interactive or immersive elements. Static displays and presentations should be entered in the Best Exhibit/Display and Best Presentation categories, respectively. (500 words max per activation/engagement)
Best Thematic Concept: Please explain how the pavilion uniquely interpreted the overarching Expo 2025 theme, "Designing Future Society for Our Lives" and/or its related sub-themes, "Saving Lives," "Empowering Lives," and/or "Connecting Lives." (500 words max)
Best Presentation: Please include the title and description of up to two individual presentations hosted inside or outside the pavilion. These may include live state presentations, theatrical performances, video/cinematic presentations, etc. Summarize the presentation's key intent/message and how the presentation conveys that message to guests. (500 words max)
Best Tech Integration: Please include details about up to three tech integrations found throughout the exhibit. These may include any application of technology or multimedia. Summarize the purpose of the integrated technologies, the innovation demonstrated, and the intended impact on the guest experience. (500 words max)
Best Exhibit/Display: Please include details about up to three individual exhibits, displays, or sections/zones found inside or outside the pavilion. Summarize the purpose of each exhibit, its key message or purpose, and the intended impact on the guest experience. (500 words max)
Best Design Detail: Please include details about up to three individual elements found inside or outside the pavilion. These may include anything from a unique art installation to a specific special effect. Any individual highlight of the pavilion or attendee experience is eligible. Summarize the purpose of each element, its key message or purpose, and the intended impact on the guest experience. (500 words max per element/detail)
Best Pavilion Team: Summarize how your on-site team optimizes the guest experience. This may include information on training, engagements, activities, etc. Include details on how guest-facing staff was chosen. This category will be scored by a separate panel of on-site judges who will "secret shop" each entry at unannounced times to gauge the staff's impact on the overall guest experience. (500 words max)
