Welcome! Miigwech for your interest in attending ONECA's 2025 Youth Gathering, September 26-28,at the Tim Horton's Memorial Camp in Parry Sound, ON. This event will promote healthy lifestyles free of cannabis and vaping. Activities to expect include: Guest Speakers, Language, Elder Engagements, Positive relationship-building, and Culturally Relevant approaches to Cannabis and Vaping Education.
Youth must be between the ages of 11-18.
Every youth must be accompanied by a chaperone. Chaperones may attend with a maximum of five youth per chaperone. Chaperones are responsible for the well-being and behaviour of the youth in their care.
Lodging, meals, and all activities will be provided at no cost to youth/chaperones.
Youth will be asked to leave cell phones and personal devices in their rooms during the course of activities (unless required for accessibility purposes).
If planning to fly to Toronto, a form of shuttle transportation from Pearson International Airport (or vicinity) to Memorial Camp on Friday, September 26 will be provided at no cost to youth/chaperones. Please let us know if you will require use of this transportation.
A travel subsidy will be available to help offset travel costs. Travel claim forms and receipts (gas, meals, additional lodging) must be submitted at the event, and cheques will be mailed promptly following the event. The total subsidy value will vary depending on the number of youth in attendance, and their respective travel costs.
Registration will close July 31st or when maximum capacity is reached.
Please note that each youth will also be required to submit additional forms for Parental Permission, Photo Release, Acknowledgement of Guidelines (Participant and Chaperone), and Medical Information. These will be emailed to you following submission of this form.
