  • Thank you for your interest in improving pedestrian safety in your community. goHunterdon provides in-street “Stop for Pedestrians” signs to Hunterdon municipalities and schools at no charge.

    The signs are intended to enhance pedestrian safety by raising awareness of NJ state law (39:4-36) NJ Law

    Eligibility:
    Equipment is available for use by schools and municipal governments located within Hunterdon County.

    Borrower Responsibilities:
    1. Ensure the Equipment is used solely for its intended purpose.
    2. Place sign in accordance with NJDOT guidance Section 2B.12 In-Street Pedestrian Crossing Signs (R1-6, R1-6a)
    3. Monitor sign placement and condition
    4. Remove damaged signs from roadway in a timely manner as appropriate.
