Thank you for your interest in the Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society Summer 2025 High School Internship Program. This summer, we are looking for candidates to help organize and archive the items in our museum, while learning more about our community, its culture and its history. The project description is as follows:
Become an Official Township Historian
The Millburn Short Hills Historical Society Museum contains a treasure trove of material from the late 18th century to the present day documenting our town’s fascinating past. Interns will work primarily with the Historical Society Museum Collection, learning how to assess the historical significance of individual items by archiving, researching and photographing materials pertaining to the rich history of Millburn-Short Hills.
Tasks include researching individual items, preparing material for the website and presentations, photographing objects, and inputting them into our database. The program will culminate with an exhibition for the public mounted by the interns during the second week of August.
Required availability: two or more days per week, from July 6th through August 14th.
