  • JOB Descriptions

    Timer/Judges Steward: Use a stopwatch to time dogs during their run. The Judge's Steward gives competitors a reminder of the rules before they come to the line, pass score sheets on to the score runner, assist in the competition area as needed. (REQUIRES A FULL DAY COMMITMENT)

    Gate Steward: Make sure the "on deck" dog is ready and help manage traffic flow to and from the crating area to the competition area. Helps competitors remain calm and keep dogs safe. (REQUIRES A FULL DAY COMMITMENT)

    Score Runner: Take score sheets from the Judge's Steward or Judge to the score table. Sheets will need to be run every 10 dogs or so.

    Parking: Check people in as they arrive to the trial. Direct competitors and volunteers to their respective parking spots. Assist in locating and getting next competitor team to the correct staging area.

    Volunteer Coordinator: Responsible for gathering all of the volunteer sign-ups and assigning people to work each day. The VC will oversee the Team Leads, set-up and tear-down, and deal with any unforeseen problems, reassigning of jobs, etc. throughout the day. (REQUIRES A FULL DAY COMMITMENT)

    Team Lead (TL): Assigned to each judge and are responsible for making sure the judge has what they need to work efficiently and expediently. (REQUIRES A FULL DAY COMMITMENT)

    Technology Lead (Tech): Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is fully charged and signed out to the appropriate volunteers. At the conclusion of the trial, the Technology Lead is responsible for making sure all equipment is accounted for and properly repacked into the tote. (REQUIRES A FULL DAY COMMITMENT)
