    EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

  • Football South Australia is the governing body for football in South Australia.

     

    Football SA is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals interested in becoming members of the Football SA Disciplinary and Ethics Committee, Arbitration Tribunal and Appeals Committee (together, the Football SA Judicial Bodies).

     

    Football SA is calling for experienced, dedicated and passionate individuals with legal qualifications, and/or football experience to join the Football SA Judicial Bodies Panel.

     

    About the Judicial Bodies

     

    The Football SA Judicial Bodies are made of a panel of members which range from persons with legal qualifications, to football people such as ex-players, match officials all of whom have football experience and an great understanding of Rules and Regulations.

     

    The Judicial Bodies are made up on an ad hoc basis to hear and determine:

     

    • any report, charge, alleged breach or matter referred to under the FA National Disciplinary Regulations;
    • any report, charge, alleged breach or matter referred to under FA National Registration, Status and Transfer Regulations;
    • any report, charge, alleged breach or matter referred to under the Football SA Competition Rules, Operating Regulations, Code of Conducts;
    • any other report, charge, alleged breach or matter referred by Football SA including serious matters referred to Football SA by an Affiliated Association; and
    • appeals from determinations of a Football SA Judicial Body or affiliated association.

     

    Desirable Criteria

     

    In addition to meeting all mandatory criteria, it would be desirable for the successful members to have a mixture of the below competencies:

     

    • Proven experience in football, sports management, governance, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in the application of Rules and Regulations.

     

    Additional Information

     

    • Members of the Football SA Judicial Bodies will need to be available on evenings for any hearing, usually Wednesday nights, however hearings may be heard on other nights.
    • Applicants can not be appointed to the Football SA Judicial Bodies panel if that person has served in the previous twelve (12) months or is currently:
    1. A member of the Board of Football SA;
    2. A member of the Board of an Affiliated Association or Club;
    3. A Player or Club Official;
    4. A Match Official;
    5. A General Manager or administrator of an Affiliated Association or Club.
    • The positions on the FA Club Licensing Bodies are honorary.
