  • Confirm your school’s participation in AI Design League for the 2025–26 school year by completing the following information. This form must be submitted by the school principal.

  • Program Info

  • Design League is recommended for students in grades 8 and 9 and is designed for all Middle School and High School students in grades 6-12.  D75 schools are encouraged to apply.

    Since 2023, 5,000+ NYC public school students designed digital solutions to better their community through tech career-connected skills in human-centered design, AI fundamentals, UX/UI, design thinking, and wireframing.

    • Differentiated and updated PD programs for both new and returning Design League teachers
    • Redesigned curriculum focused on computational foundations and career fluency
    • Borough-based student competitions
    • Community experienes including student hackathons and family events
    • More career-connected exposure opportunities including field trips and panels  
       

    Student-centered, Project-based, Experiential Curriculum
    Designed in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University 

    • Generative AI Fundamentals & Skills featured integrated usage and augmented thinking
    • Design Thinking-infused computer science & computational thinking to empower students to identify and solve problems in their community.
    • Career Navigation Skills include creative & analytical thinking, adaptability and agility, leadership and social influence, motivation and self-awareness
    • Standards-aligned lesson plans, with scope & sequence planning resources.
    • Differentiated and scaffolded resources to support students across all learning abilities
       

    Student Bridge Experiences + City-wide App Competition

    • Emoti-Con, a city-wide compeitition that connects students with tech professionals 
    • Professional tech mentor visits that compliment Design League learning and CTE pathways
    • Mouse-run Hackathons with career-connected exposure opportunities.
       

    Educator Professional Development + 1:1 Implementation Support

    • Differentiated PD tracks to access strategies and resources, and pedagogy, including training on topics like Safe Conversations on AI Ethics & Bias.
    • Professional tech & design tools training, including Canva and Figma.

    In this section, you’ll confirm your school’s commitment to fully implementing AI Design League for the 2025–26 school year. Please review each item carefully, as these expectations ensure a successful experience for your students and staff.
  • Professional Development + Coaching

    To support all new AI Design League teachers, Mouse will host a 3-day in-person PD event from August 11th-13th to provide all resources, tech skill training, and establish Communities of Practice.  Returning teachers will be invited to a 1-day PD event on August 14th.

    Three additional PD events will take place in October, December, and February (dates TBD).
