Afton 4th of July Parade Registration
Theme: Rockin' in the USA Date: Friday, July 4th, 2025 Time: 5pm Contact: mainstreet@aftonwyoming.gov 1. Registration is required to participate in the parade. 2. Line up Starts at the Lincoln County Fair Grounds. Parade Float Entrants MUST STAY ON the Parade route and are not allowed to drive on HWY 89 or Town side streets, undesignated as the parade route, until after they return to the staging area and are alerted that the parade is officially over. 3. Parade floats will promenade at 5:00 P.M. July 4th 4. No late entrants! FLOATS MUST BE LINED UP BY 4:55 P.M. 5. ALL equine and live animals line up last and ALL TOGETHER. 6. No throwing candy during parades conducted after dark.No late entrants! FLOATS MUST BE LINED UP BY 4:55 P.M.

THE FOLLOWING WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED BEFORE ADMISSION INTO THE PARADE. In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Afton 4th of July Parade (“the Event”), I/we hereby acknowledge and agree to the following: 1. Assumption of Risk. I/we understand and acknowledge that participation in a parade involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of bodily injury, illness, death, property damage, or loss. I/we voluntarily assume all such risks, known and unknown, associated with participation in the Event, including those arising from the acts or omissions of other participants, spectators, volunteers, or third parties. 2. Release and Waiver of Liability I/we hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Town of Afton, Wyoming, the Afton Main Street Alliance, and their respective elected officials, officers, employees, agents, representatives, contractors, volunteers, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, losses, or liabilities of any kind whatsoever, whether in law or equity, that may arise from or relate to participation in the Event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law. 3. Indemnification I/we agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to my/our participation in the Event or that of my/our parade entry, employees, volunteers, animals, or equipment. 4. Sovereign Immunity Not Waived Nothing in this waiver shall be construed as a waiver of the governmental immunity of the Town of Afton or its officers, employees, or agents, as provided by Wyoming Statutes §§ 1-39-101 et seq., or any other applicable law. The Town of Afton specifically retains all immunities and defenses available under Wyoming law. 5. Authority and Acknowledgment By signing below, I/we affirm that I am the duly authorized representative of the parade entry listed above and that I have read, understand, and agree to abide by all rules and regulations provided with this waiver. I further acknowledge that this waiver shall be binding on me, my child(ren), my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns. 6. Agreement to Rules I/we agree to abide by the Parade Rules attached hereto and understand that failure to do so may result in removal from the Event without further liability.
