  • Join our Choir - Season 2025 - 2026 Term

    The Rainbow Chorus of New Westminster Season begins on Monday, September 8, 2025 and will run to June 22, 2026 (two terms). New members can try us out for 2 weeks before having to pay for the first term (September 2025 - January 2026) in full ($145). Our practices take place at Sanctuary on 6th Street (at Queen's Avenue), New Westminster on Monday evenings, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. There are a total of 15 practices per term, followed by a Concert. You are required to attend a minimum of 11 practices in order to sing in the Concert. The full schedule is posted on our Facebook Page. Registration fees are as follows:
  • Option 1:

       - September 2025 - June 2026 - $290 - must be paid in full by September 21

    Option 2:

       - September 2025 - January 2026 - $145 - must be paid in full by September 21

  • Rainbow Chorus Agreement:

    As a member of the choir, I agree to the following:

    • my registration fee is non-refundable
    • that practices are from 7:00 - 9:30 pm on Mondays and that I will arrive before 7:00 pm (if possible) so that our practice can begin promptly
    • that I will advise the Choir Administration Team (CAT) if I cannot make the practice 
    • that I will attend a minimum of 11 rehearsals out of 15 in order to participate in the end of term concert 
    • if I do not own a black music folio I will purchase one from the choir (cost $35)
    • if I do not have a Rainbow Chorus T-shirt (our current performance outfit) I will purchase one from the choir (cost $15)
    • that the music I am provided belongs to the Rainbow Chorus and I will return it at the end of each Term, or if I leave the Chorus
    • that notations can be made on the music in PENCIL only so it can be erased and used by future choristers (nothing in pen or highlighter)
    • to contact the Artisitic Director or a member of the CAT if I have any questions or concerns (constructive feedback appreciated)
    • to give my full attention to our Artisitic Director during rehearsals

    And Finally,

    • to help create and foster an open and welcoming environment of safety and inclusion for all, no matter who they are, or where they are at;
    • to communicate in an appropriate manner with everyone involved in the chorus, respecting one another and avoiding conversations that include ableism, ageism, racism, sexism, or any other unkind comment; to avoid criticizing and/or judgements of others;
    • to support and encourage each other and have fun!

     

    Please note that we are a scent-free space ... this includes perfume, laundry detergents/softeners, shampoo/conditioners, etc.
