The Bermuda Arts Council Project Grant awards $5,000 BMD to support the creation of a specific art project. The Project Grant seeks to support bold, compelling, risk-taking work in and outside of the standard exhibition venue (or performance venue, distribution model, event format etc.). Successful projects value unconventional approaches to art making, professionalism, critical dialogue, collaboration, and new models of community interface. Applications may address a distinct chapter, aspect, or component of a larger project.
All mediums are welcome. Community engagement and collaboration in and about the work is encouraged. The Project Grant is open to Bermudian Artists who are 18 years or older. Artist teams are welcome to apply, but must be represented by a single applicant. Grants cannot be used to support, or market completed works.
